cdfan Posted December 15, 2005 at 08:40 PM Posted December 15, 2005 at 08:40 PM A L'Olympia of course. I think that she made these song more truely than on the album DC Plamondon. Quote
ByuSmurf Posted December 16, 2005 at 04:09 AM Posted December 16, 2005 at 04:09 AM I concur! Because of the song "Calling You"! Live À l'Olympia! Quote http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y157/byusmurf/siggy12-25-05.jpg
Koolan Posted December 21, 2005 at 06:17 AM Posted December 21, 2005 at 06:17 AM Olympia, I don't really like Plamondon's songs. Pity the video wasn't released. Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. Click here to go to the Amazon homepage.

Célinefull Posted December 22, 2005 at 06:59 AM Posted December 22, 2005 at 06:59 AM D.C. Plamondon, it's my favorite album of all time! It has all the best songs on it, especially Ziggy and Je danse dans ma tete, which are my favorite songs. Quote http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/7108/ziegfieldgirlbanner.jpg

sander21 Posted March 7, 2006 at 08:51 AM Posted March 7, 2006 at 08:51 AM A l'olympia . Love the start of the concert with 'Des mots qui sonnent'. It's a pity that 'Piaf chanterait du rock' is not on the album. Would like to hear that song live Quote

Celine @ Olympia, 1984 And about the video... you can see her performing "D'amour ou d'amitie" at Olympia when she was 16, but I don't know how to save the video from there - anybody pleaaaaase???!... http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/driven/59736/episode.jhtml Edited September 29, 2006 at 11:33 AM by songbird Quote Celine Challenge :: Over 10.000 beautiful pictures of our diva! http://celinedion.evonet.ro/coppermine/
WendyB Posted September 29, 2006 at 11:33 AM Posted September 29, 2006 at 11:33 AM À l'Olympia - I bought this after I got Live à Paris, because I was so impressed with her live performance on that. I got Dion Chante Plamondon later - it's good, but live is best Quote

songbird Posted September 29, 2006 at 02:30 PM Posted September 29, 2006 at 02:30 PM Oh... I forgot to reffer to the actual topic. I enjoy "A l'Olympia" very much and DCP as well but I think there is no room for comparison between the two: you cannot compare a studio album to a live recording... simply because the mood is different. Besides, Olympia is based mostly on DCP... so... I can (and we can all) just be glad that the songs on DCP weren't left unsung like many other brilliant ones. I absolutely love the Starmania medley and the way her voice sounds on "Des mots qui sonnent". Her speeches are natural (as always!) but this time very focused on composers. Of course her voice sounded crystal-clear in this concert and I can truly say it's one of her best, for three simple reasons:- it was 1994 and she was (still) in top shape- the perfect acoustics of Olympia ~ it is said that if you are on the stage there and you whisper, each and every person in the audience can hear - dunno if that is true, but it's sure a great concert hall, one of the best in the world- brilliant song choice ~ I think it's one of the few times when they chose songs well, the only thing I object to is that I would have wanted an "early years" medley like in 10 Ans Deja... P.S.: You're welcome (for the photos) Quote Celine Challenge :: Over 10.000 beautiful pictures of our diva! http://celinedion.evonet.ro/coppermine/
