Yangedd Posted December 13, 2005 at 11:53 PM Posted December 13, 2005 at 11:53 PM I'm going with "À l'Olympia" because I don't have the other album. And I love all live versions that she does so I imagine if I did have the other Album, I would still go with the Live one. poetic Posted December 14, 2005 at 12:30 AM Posted December 14, 2005 at 12:30 AM In some way, is very difficult because it's hard to chose between studio or live but I love more À l'Olympia. The atmosphere of the entire album, I think is a classic, one of those concerts that I had liked to be there. Clari Posted December 14, 2005 at 04:37 AM Posted December 14, 2005 at 04:37 AM A l'olympia!! I love the songs on DCP, but the musical arrangements are a little heavy... and her voice is SO powerful in Olympia! It's just amazing!! I'd kill for a full video of that concert! giglamoroso Posted December 14, 2005 at 06:33 AM Posted December 14, 2005 at 06:33 AM Live! Always, always. I wouldn't kill, but I'd pay a lot for the concert. Quote
sander21 Posted December 14, 2005 at 07:27 AM Posted December 14, 2005 at 07:27 AM Celine live is always the best i think. Only a pity that 'Piaf chanterait du rock' wasn't on it. Quote

Jeanine Posted December 14, 2005 at 07:43 PM Posted December 14, 2005 at 07:43 PM I'm also going for À l'Olympia. She sings incredible on that album!Especially "Calling You" that's such a wonderfull song. I would pay a lot to see the video / dvd of that concert. Why, for God's sake, hasn't Sony released that??? Just like, there's no dvd from Live In Memphis... But, yes À l'Olympia is my favourit of these two albums Jeanine Quote http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/music/entity/platinum/celine_dion_banner_cropped.jpg Order NOW

She did the pre-show of Patrick Sebastien when she was 16 or something. Actually does a video of this performance existe? I'd love to see it. I like both albums but I prefer the live one since Céline live is (with one horrible exception that was released) better. It's vocal perfection so crystal clear and smoothless and the production of this live is great. Too bad it's so short, only 13 songs. Quote
Ethan Posted December 14, 2005 at 10:18 PM Author Posted December 14, 2005 at 10:18 PM (edited) The video of this performance exists, it even had a release date. But like with AND: LILV, it never arrived. Also like with AND: LILV, we didn’t get all songs from the concert. She’s said to have performed about 20 songs, including Oxygène. There’s a photo from the concert that was shared some time ago. firebird Posted December 14, 2005 at 10:28 PM Posted December 14, 2005 at 10:28 PM The video of this performance exists, it even had a release date.Yes, there must be a video of 1994 Olympia. They used some images from a show on some ad or something for the Olympia where you saw a scene with Céline running into the camera, so it must have been filmed, but actually I wanted to know if a video of the performances that she talkes about in your quote, from the 80ies exists. Yangedd Posted December 14, 2005 at 10:40 PM Posted December 14, 2005 at 10:40 PM I Love to see a A L'Olympia Video. Celine's vocals were very strong in that concert. When I first bought the Album I was amazed at how good it was and I kept listening to it over and over and over. My neighbours were going mad because I used to have it on each day and the volume was always up really loud. LVCeline Posted December 15, 2005 at 12:48 AM Posted December 15, 2005 at 12:48 AM If I remember correctly, A l'Olympia was my first exposure to Celine's french music. I do remember loving it from the very second it started to play. It's an absolutely amazing album with perfect vocals. I'd say her best live album for sure! Quote

Leone Posted December 15, 2005 at 03:56 PM Posted December 15, 2005 at 03:56 PM I voted for "Dion chante Plamondon".There are way too many pre-recorded stuff on Live à l'Olympia."Live à Paris" was my first live cd from Celine, so it's my favourite live record. Quote
