What does Miracle album mean to you?

Hi everyone,

 

I'm sitting here listening to the Miracle album. And a thought just came to me, that I'm a 14-year-old guy, listening to this wonderful "childrens'" CD.

 

But then I thought of how pure this album is, and it gave me a feeling I can't explain. If anyone at school found out about this, I'd probably get laughed out of New York City, but I really don't care. And if in some small way, they found out about this, that would be one of the best things that'll happen. Because the world need more music like this. With all the negative influences out there, music so pure, posotive, and beutiful, like this, is a MUST, for all of us.

 

What I'm trying say is, no matter how old you are, this is a CD we all need. I really can't explain how I feel... maybe it's just me. But I feel so taken with this music. This isn't for just our precious children, but also for all of this.

 

Maybe I'm the only one who feels like this, but that's okay.

Thank You Celine and Anne, for such a blessing. You've touched one more life, one more soul, and one more heart.

Wow, fantastic. I'm so glad to read this. I really am, it's so good to read this from younger people.

I was starting to loose my faith in all teenagers LOLOLOL (if you knew my sisters you would too)

 

Well, you're not the only one, for sure. This album, for me, is the best way to get some peace of mind, or forget about something that's going wrong. It's positive, it's beautiful, it's all about love, a pure love.

I agree too Joel, and my friends would laugh me off of Long Island. I got the CD for my grandmother, but also because i wanted to hear it. The problem with that is I can't play it for myself when I want to hear it unless I go to her house. LOL. I think this is the best album she's made since A New Day Has Come. Something about the songs in this one. My favorite one is Miracle, but i do like all of them.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was feeling kind of down, and I listened to Miracle, and that's when I had all these thoughts.

Well I have the one with the full book and the CD and DVD. But if you're not heading for the full package, I'd recommend the limited edition. The photography is amazing!

Hi!!!

 

I've written a post already... but it got lost...

So I'll tell you the most important things for short:

 

I'm a 16-year old boy from Germany and I'm a big fan of Céline!!

I told everyone who wanted to know, which kind of music I hear that I'm a Céline-Fan. (Everyone of them looked at least surprised: ) It's not easy to be a Céline-Fan... especially if you are a male teenager... But I'm so proud to be a Céline-Fan that nothing matters! They can think about that whatever they want to! Most of them find it remarkable (but not when they are in a group... only when you speak with them without someone else) that I concede to be a CÉLINE-DION-Fan.

 

So the only possibility is to fight for your right to have your own opinion!!

 

To my birthday I'll recive the Miracle CD;DVD and the book, and about ten of my friends will be with me then... I'm very interested how they'll react when they'll see the baby-photos. I'm sure that they won't be able to stop laughing...

 

So... that was a piece of my story. I hope, I was able to encourage you a little.

Yesterday I was listening to Miracle album and I though : " What a good travel to childhood"

 

 

This album can be for babies, for mothers and fathers... and for those who haven't any direct relation with babies...

 

 

 

I have to nieces and sometimes, at night, I put the CD on for them... They like, even they don't understand a word what is being singing. They love the melody, slow rythim... tender voice...

Onde day, the older one, Sara, asked me: " This lady is a mom?"

I answered : "Yes. Why?"

Sara said: "Because it seems that she's singing to one litlle boy or girl ... is son or daughter... she really sing with emotion."

 

 

I didn't know what to answer... Can you imagine a litlle girl from Portugal, who don't understand a word of english, saying that Céline sings with emotion?! It's really really really good to hear this!! ( a tear come down on my face )

 

 

In fact, this emotion that my niece talked me about, makes me travel to my childhood. Perhapes it was the best years of my whole life. I don't know ... because I don't have live so much...

 

Each song makes me remember some special moments... like the first day of childhood gardner, the first day of school, the christmas... the first friends that I've made... the first night that I slept out of home ...

 

All of this can be resumed in one sentence : the "wonderful world"

 

 

 

 

And to you ... what means Miracle album?

personally, i feel as though MIRACLE is definitely a testament to CELINE's ability to connect with her music...

 

be it IF I COULD, MY PRECIOUS ONE, COME TO ME, and of course, MIRACLE, CELINE sings in such a way that only a mother could sing to her child...

 

if i may add that vocally, CELINE shows us a gentle, much more tender side, and this compliments perfectly the music and message she is delivering here...

 

the tracks are simple, warm, subdued, and generally stunning (with a few exceptions--namely repeats that have included been on other albums and not even slightly altered, just, well, "rehashed", so to speak)...

 

it comes to no surprise that this album did sell very well, given the facts that it is a concept album and the audience is limited to a certain extent, and also, the promotion of it was simply insufficient...

 

this said, MIRACLE is, in my opinion, a rather fine piece of music, and i am grateful that it was released (despite my initial disgust at the idea of CELINE collaborating with ANNE GEDDES, of whose work i'm not a fan (her photography is excellent, but the babies all dressed up as vegetables and flowers, no way)...

My family tease me about listening to Céline. It doesn't change my view of a great singer with a unique personality.

 

I listen to Miracle quite often and find it quite soothing even at my age There is the child in all of us.

The book sits on my living room table. I love hearing people's reaction to the photos-positive and negative comments. The only photo I don't care for is the mock pregnant Céline. It's a bit strange.

Even though I love the "Miracle" CD, I can't say I love Anne's pictures.

I bought the book only for Celine's captures and record and only a few images of the "model babies" touched me...But it doesn't matter.

 

What I wanna say is that I listened to this album for the first time in December 2004 and it was and still remains one of my favourites.Even if it includes TFTEISYF, which was already released, and La Berceuse De Brahms, also released on TAST (but this version is a bit different from the TAST version, she hummes more on this one), it is a delicate and elegant album, with gentle songs and romantic, slow vocals...

Another question I have regarding the year in which Céline has recorded her songs... I'm sure this topic would bring many surprises if we really were to know this info.

 

For example, I was listening today the "Miracle" album, after a very long time since I didn't listen to it in full play, and I'm more and more convinced that she didn't record this song for this album in 2004, but for ANDHC. Why?

 

First because her voice in the song is SO different than in the rest of the songs recorded specifically for this album. Just listen to If I Could, What A Wonderful World, Sleep Tight and so, which were in clearly recorded in 2004 because of her nasal voice, and you can clearly tell the difference, that in Miracle she sings with absolute perfect clear voice like she had in 2002, no nasal at all.

 

But also, because on Matthew Dela Pola's website (scoring consultant for some songs in LTAL, The Prayer, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and some songs in the ANDHC album), this song appears under another title, "Who Could Ever Love You More", and next with songs of the ANDHC album like ANDHC and I Surrender. This is suspicious to say the least!

 

What do you think guys? Did Céline record "Miracle" really in 2004, or earlier (probably in 2001/2002 for ANDHC)?

If I remember correctly,Céline did record this song for ANDHC as Who Could Ever Love You More, maybe it didn't make the album cos of the same reasons David Foster isn't credited as producer of I Surrender. I guess Céline liked this song so much, she created a whole project for it
