What does Miracle album mean to you?

Well she recorded all the recycled songs earlier in her career so it's absolutely likely the title song was a cut from a previous album. To me, her voice sounds more like it did on One Heart than ANDHC, but that's just me. The new songs she did for the Miracle album are hard for me to listen to just because her voice is so throaty. It was just about at its worst during that time period (though TC world tour was pretty nasal at times).

If I remember correctly,Céline did record this song for ANDHC as Who Could Ever Love You More, maybe it didn't make the album cos of the same reasons David Foster isn't credited as producer of I Surrender. I guess Céline liked this song so much, she created a whole project for it

 

That's right, I checked that yesterday and the original name of "Miracle" is actually "Who Could Ever Love You More". It's registered with that name in Warner Chappell's Licensing songs website

In Some Small Way and My Precious One are the two gems of the album! ISSW deserved to be more of a hit, than it was.

Yes, Come To Me, Sleep Tight, In Some Small Way, Beautiful Boy, Une Chanson Douche, My Precocious One, In Some Small Way, Baby Close Your Eyes. I adore them all.

I am not a mother (ugh) but I love this album. This album is pure love between parent and child, as I think it should be.

I like Miracle it's not my cd...she sounds the best on that cd and can show she can songs without the diva ballads. It shows she doesn't have to oversing songs. I Wish Xtina did a cd like this she has a killer voice but oversings!

Eddie, I'm not the greatest fan of this album as well. I like it (let's say a lot) but it didn't strike me as something really extraordinary.

I learned to like this album with time. With time, because in 2004, after the great uptempo album that was One Heart, Miracle looked like a spoilsport intruder who came to cut off all the young and fresh Celine that there was in OH.

 

Miracle wasn't an album for everyone, it wasn't easy to feel if you weren't a mum 😄, but it has some very nice songs to listen to, like Miracle, My Precious One and In Some Small Way.

I agree! I enjoy her rendition "If I Could" soooo much! Its beautiful and its evident she truly means it in relation to her children. My favorites is "Miracle" and "My Precious One" but "In Some Small Way" is not far behind!

I can't believe all the love for this crap album.

 

I hate the idea as I hate babies/kids is general anyways. The songs could've been amazing, less than a handful are. But most of the songs are spat out from Nasalville. She sounds like a goat choking on a potato. It's horrid. A Song For You would've been the perfect fit for this vile album.

Me too. I understand why she made it but I don't think I could listen to a Celine album with soft music all over.

As someone who fell in love with Celine's vocal ability (as well as her songs) I find it difficult to listen to most of the "Miracle" album purely because Celine sounds so much worse than usual on it. "Miracle" along with "Live In Las Vegas" are the two albums I'd be quite happy to see deleted from Celine's discography.

To me, that was the only song worth to buy that live album. The rest of the concert was like, meh......

This album means a lot for me, cause it all started with it.

 

Despite the fact that the album is about love for a newborn child and joy, it helped me a lot when I lost somebody special for me.

 

Because for me it's also about fear and pain, that this child will walk away some day. But it brings hope as well. And I needed that.

I was falling asleep for almost a year while listening to this album. And Celine whispering in my ear helped me make it through.

 

So I don't care about nasal sound or other technical stuff. There are a lot of emotions in there and that's important for me.

Yes yes Brahms Lullaby and TFTEISYF and A Mother's Prayer are obviously saved too, these belong to 1998 and 1999 albums, not Miracle. Basically I tried to focus on the new songs included in Miracle (TFTEISYF is untouchable )
