Spanish version of Have You Ever Been In Love

In the Spanish Section a fan found out a curious stuff on eBay: a fax where it's written the lyrics of "Have You Ever Been In Love" in spanish. The lyrics were written by Ignacio Ballesteros, same as "Aun Existe Amor". And, apparently, Céline recorded it on May 2003, during the sessions for 1F&4T.

 

I hope Feeling Productions will decide to publish it.

It's funny, if you remember, in the making of 1 Fille Et 4 Types, Celine sings some strings in Spanish... and we can hear that she's recording in spanish... and u know what's even more funny? When listening to that making of (wich I'm just about to see all over again) I said a friend of mine, I know this song and he said to me: I don't, it's completely new. But Have You Ever Been In Love is my favorite song and I'd recognize it every where... I'll get back to let you know the results my search turned out in.

near the printer lyrics are hand written again the lyrics. dunno why anyway..is that her signature on the paper? cool. i want one!!!

also the lyrics seem to fit with the english lyrics.

the writing is the phonetic way of saying the words. the seller told it to someone on the another source. she said it was written in pencil to help celine sing the words.

That is quite a subject... the truth is, if there was a Celine Dion Collectors Series Vol.1, for sure is to be followed for other Collectors Editions. But hey, do you have to be without her for another 2 years so they can give continuity to that releases?!!? Do we have to wait for her to get pregnant and all, so they can release the second volume of this?!?!

Maybe. Or they recorded several songs in Spanish for the ANDHC album and they finally decided to include only one for the final tracklist and keep the other/s as B-Sides for the (more than probable) single, special edition of the album etc... We'll never know I guess

 

It's likely she recorded more versions of other songs during those days, for example A New Day Has Come, since it doesn't make sense they took the trouble to commision Spanish versions of L'amour existe encore and HYEBIL and not also for the lead single of the album, which was heavily promoted everywhere. My guess here is that they always preferred a ballad song to be presented in Spanish rather than an uptempo song (as they always do )

 

Also, a French version of HYEBIL was mentioned to me by the same seller who put up the Spanish lyrics for sale, but I never got the picture of that lyrics sheet since apparently the seller had already got rid of it at that time

only in 2000, when the CSV1, came out, i had knowledge of the Spanish version of all by myself

 

 

Maybe one day we will get a digital EP with all Spanish tracks

Not sure clueless is the right word! She’s recorded hundreds of songs. If it’s a song that was just an album track, never part of a concert or a single she wouldn’t necessarily remember it straight away, especially after 25 odd years later lol. But I do think she’d remember it if someone started singing it to her for example.

I’ll give you another example. Barbra Streisand has recorded hundreds of songs also. In the 60’s she recorded Alfie - movie theme etc written by Burt Bacharach (Cilla recorded it for us U.K. peeps). Barbra forgot the song! Heard it on the radio and asked the station who was singing it etc. It was herself 🤣

Not the first time I’ve said this, but I wish Celine would listen to her older albums, she’ll discover some absolute gems! ❤️

Apparently when Scott Price came on board to write new live arrangements for her songs, they went through all her CDs to listen to the original songs and also pick new/old ones for Vegas and the tours, and then that's how she retrieved Refuse To Dance for the 2017 tour (I never even knew the song the orchestra was playing). And surely the same happened when bringing back Love Is All We Need, The Colour Of My Love and Think Twice.
