Ronny83 Posted January 17, 2005 at 01:52 PM Posted January 17, 2005 at 01:52 PM In the Spanish Section a fan found out a curious stuff on eBay: a fax where it's written the lyrics of "Have You Ever Been In Love" in spanish. The lyrics were written by Ignacio Ballesteros, same as "Aun Existe Amor". And, apparently, Céline recorded it on May 2003, during the sessions for 1F&4T. I hope Feeling Productions will decide to publish it. Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...bayphotohosting http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jilkm77/Yahoooo.jpg Thanks to stew. DidasDion Posted January 17, 2005 at 02:18 PM Posted January 17, 2005 at 02:18 PM It's funny, if you remember, in the making of 1 Fille Et 4 Types, Celine sings some strings in Spanish... and we can hear that she's recording in spanish... and u know what's even more funny? When listening to that making of (wich I'm just about to see all over again) I said a friend of mine, I know this song and he said to me: I don't, it's completely new. But Have You Ever Been In Love is my favorite song and I'd recognize it every where... I'll get back to let you know the results my search turned out in. 1 Quote This time... is in your hands!UNICEF - Children relief fund!

Thomas Posted January 17, 2005 at 09:23 PM Posted January 17, 2005 at 09:23 PM the writing is the phonetic way of saying the words. the seller told it to someone on the another source. she said it was written in pencil to help celine sing the words. Quote
act_tony Posted January 17, 2005 at 10:01 PM Posted January 17, 2005 at 10:01 PM (edited) Here's the translation: Do u know how it is to love?Is like reaching the moonwhen your heart is aboutto explote in a 1000 starsDo u know how the love is (or "Do u know how it is to love?") Do u know how it is to walkon air when u r dreamingyou don't think anymorethat it could happen to uDo u know how the love is? Do u know how it is to love?Is like reaching the moonwhen your heart is aboutto explote in a 1000 starsDo u know how the love is? And u...will waitfrom heaven willalways comeand i wait no moreDo u know how the love is? Yes u, ah...follow your destinyfor sure you'll find itat the end of the roadDo u know how & where do u go? And u...will waitfrom heaven willalways comeand i wait no moreDo u know how the love is? Do u already know the love?, loveis like reaching the starsDo u know how to reachthe stars and fly?Do u know how the love is?, yeahDo u know how the love is?Do u know how the love is?The love And the lyrics in pencil is Céline's pronunciation point of view. Know that's the ways she sees the words in spanish. Edited January 17, 2005 at 10:04 PM by act_tony Quote

Javito Posted April 16, 2018 at 09:02 PM Posted April 16, 2018 at 09:02 PM (edited) Maybe they wanted to put this song in One Heart? Maybe. Or they recorded several songs in Spanish for the ANDHC album and they finally decided to include only one for the final tracklist and keep the other/s as B-Sides for the (more than probable) single, special edition of the album etc... We'll never know I guess It's likely she recorded more versions of other songs during those days, for example A New Day Has Come, since it doesn't make sense they took the trouble to commision Spanish versions of L'amour existe encore and HYEBIL and not also for the lead single of the album, which was heavily promoted everywhere. My guess here is that they always preferred a ballad song to be presented in Spanish rather than an uptempo song (as they always do ) Also, a French version of HYEBIL was mentioned to me by the same seller who put up the Spanish lyrics for sale, but I never got the picture of that lyrics sheet since apparently the seller had already got rid of it at that time Edited April 16, 2018 at 09:12 PM by Javito 2 Quote "Hush, now... Javito Posted August 13, 2018 at 10:50 AM Posted August 13, 2018 at 10:50 AM I just got confirmation that this Spanish version of the Have You Ever Been In Love song was actually recorded by Céline in the studio, and it wasn’t just a mere “test” or a rehearsal on the lyrics sheet and then they forgot about it. The son of the author, Ignacio Ballesteros-Díaz confirmed this to me this morning, as they used to work together writing the adaptation of many songs in Spanish and Italian So now the chances of having this song released one day are real and possible 7 Quote "Hush, now... If it’s a song that was just an album track, never part of a concert or a single she wouldn’t necessarily remember it straight away, especially after 25 odd years later lol. But I do think she’d remember it if someone started singing it to her for example. I’ll give you another example. Barbra Streisand has recorded hundreds of songs also. In the 60’s she recorded Alfie - movie theme etc written by Burt Bacharach (Cilla recorded it for us U.K. peeps). Barbra forgot the song! Heard it on the radio and asked the station who was singing it etc. It was herself 🤣Not the first time I’ve said this, but I wish Celine would listen to her older albums, she’ll discover some absolute gems! ❤️ 1 Quote

Though I def get your point...and it may have been different if she'd write her own material, but still... if she'd really been interested, she would know she has lots of uptempo material for her live shows for example, or that she can easily shake up her setlists with either of those "hundreds of songs". Javito Posted August 15, 2018 at 07:42 PM Posted August 15, 2018 at 07:42 PM Apparently when Scott Price came on board to write new live arrangements for her songs, they went through all her CDs to listen to the original songs and also pick new/old ones for Vegas and the tours, and then that's how she retrieved Refuse To Dance for the 2017 tour (I never even knew the song the orchestra was playing). And surely the same happened when bringing back Love Is All We Need, The Colour Of My Love and Think Twice. 2 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
