On the site you can see how the sales of the album have fallen very rapidly. In 2005 it sold 433.900 copies and in 2006 only 63.600 according to them. That's certainly because in 2005 she promoted it, and if you look at the chart-run you notice everytime she appeared on a TV show they sales went up again.

as about a new album...i think the more we wait the more it's gonna be worth it...not that i'd wanna wait an eternity   ,but the Vegas show wares her voice out and i'd rather want her to rest than record...

Today Celine's album "On Ne Change Pas" fell of the French albums chart (long formats). It spent there almost a year (51 weeks). The album has sold over 504,000 copies and was certified platinum. To get 2 x platinum it should sell 600,000 copies but that won't happen

Now, there's no Celine on charts.

First, to get a double platinum , it doesn"t need to sell so much as certifications are copies sent to music stores.

Then, since the 1th of July , there are new certifications in France

argent - 50.000 -> 35.000
or - 100.000 -> 75.000
platine - 300.000 -> 200.000
diamant - 1.000.000 -> 750.000

So.... she can get her 2x platinum

The album is under old rules, because it came out before July 2006.

And 504,000 is shipment, not sales. Only few countries (like US or Japan) give real sales numbers. Rest of the world use shipment numbers (that includes France).

On the board of chartsinfrance, there's a girl who works for IFOP, and every week she posts the real sales of albums. On ne change pas re-entered the french charts @ number 209 3weeks ago !

Last week, it was @ number 210 !

This week @ number 220 !



Oh does someone know where we can find the billboard pop catalogue charts? On the billboard official website, there isn't anymore !

I'm looking for it because I think that These are special times may have entered the charts as Christmas isn't so far anymore....

This state in the charts means that, although being in LV, she is still famous all over the world. I´m looking forward to seeing her doing an European tour!!!!

ONCP album is the #6 on Foreign Pop Music Year-End Chart 2006 on dangdang.com(the biggest online store in China).    It is the only non-English album in the chart.  
BTW, I bought my ONCP album from there.

It's kinda true. You can find Patricia Kaas on the Joyo.com chart too, due to the French culture year(2005) promo, and her conerts in Beijing and Shanghai. And Lara Fabian's English albums were released in China too, but not French albums. Of course most Chinese only know Celine.   All Celine's French albums were released in China since A'Olympia.
