I was thinking the same thing. What she did with Winter Song in 2016 was amazing. Wouldn't even have to be a livestream this time. She could do more takes if she's not happy with it but we'd hear her live voice and it would be another big step for her but in a controlled way.

It's funny to read that we are here almost all convinced that she lip sync and it's ok for most of us. I don't know if you read comments on Facebook or instagram. It's like a big fight between those are declare being more fan than fan and pretend that Céline has never ever lip sync in her entire carreer and those who do not like Céline and find everything she does, wears or says a real sh...

By the way I think every singer did lip sync. I cannot image Jennifer Lopez dancing and moving like she does without even hearing breath while singing

Regarding Saudi Arabia, we cannot forget Celine is a singer. That's a job. So if she approached to sing for an event private or not with a  nice million contrat, she will go. That's her job.

The only thing that she annoys me ( if I may say) is that since she shows some signs of returns, she went to Paris, shows of in Vegas, now Saudi Arabia. What about Quebec ?

I am under the impression that Quebec has been one of her priorities considering her live CD/DVD releases in 2008 and 2013. But I might be wrong. Could you please elaborate?

Québec has been a priority for the longest time, even if she didn't spend much time there. But I do feel like something's changed in the 3 years that she was away. Maybe I'm imagining things, but whenever Québec is mentioned she seems evasive. Maybe now that her mom's gone and her entourage has slowly Americanized she simply doesn't feel that much of a connection anymore...

I honestly think that as well, her kids are Americanized, her team, management etc in terms of her Entourage, now seems to be majority American-ized. She lives in the US, her doctors are Americans….

Her mom and dad are gone now so I’m sure it feels “slightly” less like home these days. But at the end of the day, Rene is buried there, I’m sure it’ll always be home for her. Again, I don’t think it was deliberate to not go to Quebec… the first thing happened to be in France and now this Elie Saab fashion show in Saudi Arabia which to the people not happy with that destination a little side fact is that was supposed to held in Beirut, Lebanon instead but due to the war there it had to be moved, I’m sure Celine and RC would’ve loved to be in Rene’s homeland. , also Elie Saab is from there hence why. And Lebanon is much more accepting of women and human rights, and an overall blast to visit.

Anyways having said all that, I wonder what’s next now? A Vegas announcement? Another peformance at maybe an award show/ Christmas special?

I share your opinions about her American way of life. People from Quebec tried to attack her saying they are from Quebec but she does not pay more attention. I’m beginning to think he’s clueless… he lost credibility when he said her performance was “live”, when some of those playbacks are over 25 years old.  I don’t think she was paid, I think all her expenses and needs were.
