Yeah I think she’s up in the ranks when it comes to talent that came in the generations after Celine, I could hardly name any one from era with more talent, but that’s my personal opinion. Also, Adele posting this pic from the show leads me to believe Celine didn’t meet with her backstage.

There's never been more praise for Céline in Vegas since she is not there, among her fans! Hahahahaha.  

Her lenghthy residencies were never met with support from her fanbase.  Let's not forget it.

Sure we went to see her ( because, well, what choice did we have for a long time if we wanted to see her on stage?) but nobody was happy with that career move.

And I think standing now for her title as Queen of Vegas is a bit hypocritical when the only thing we wanted is her out of it.

Nothing personal to you but more a general opinion about her fanbase.

I never hated the idea of Vegas…. The only thing was the calendar was too restrictive to do other projects… but the way Adele and others do Vegas is perfect. I always loved the shows I attended there and I love the city period… best food, spas, gambling etc I love all those things lol

Adele is literally the same age that Celine was within her first year of her residency. She’s had an incredible career. Has sold 70 million album equivalent units in a time where it’s near impossible. I think Adele deserves a Queen crown at this point in her career.

I don’t mind her in Vegas at all. Never did. I love the idea of being able to base a vacation around seeing her. Especially in a city that I love to visit. I was always very happy for her success there as well.

My thoughts exactly… it’s also more personal than a tour. I got to have my moment with her and got a selfie during the mosh pit. And it’s frankly a brilliant idea for an artist to live a semi normal day to day life and then go do a show at night… I’m not a performer but if I were one at Celine’s level that’s what I’d choose to do. It just makes sense to base. I especially loved it the second residency when she did mini tours across the globe.

Now during “A New Day…” I would’ve loved to see more albums but that’s really the only downside in my opinion.

Adele's most liked insta post in with 8.1M likes. So hard to compete...but it is definitely the most liked post of hers recently

AND, more impressively, had already conquered the French market many years earlier! That's a unique achievement (bilingual domination) no other diva-peer can beat.  

Tangent, I think that's why I love Céline's accented English-it will always be a reminder that her talent is so immense someone ESL dominated so easily. I get tickled when some people are surprised she can speak French/realize she isn't American, and are twice surprised to be informed how embraced and record-setting she is in France/etc (and has an even better French catalogue, for a lot of listeners).

Who knows, Team Celine might post about the Adele encounter at some point. (And I hope they do!)

But I don’t think Celine cares about cashing in on all the publicity. I think she just went to support Adele and it was clearly an emotional experience for her being back in the Colosseum so she’s probably still processing it all.

Not even acknowledging the moment happened, yet they post that dog in dresses all the time, and posted about the Olympics for 2 months straight. Now they post that blurry video of TLYM from Memphis… it’s alway one step forward, two steps back from her team/ social pages.
