She was doing a video message for a tribute to him, so they were watching some of his performances. She really adored him.

Wow!  I had the opposite reaction:)  I thought that was the most touching part of the movie.  It made me cry.  I listened to the song and cried again.  It's amazing how people have such different reactions/opinions to things.  I guess one we can all agree on is that we want to give Celine a big hug right now!

Number 1…. People haven’t seen the doc yet, including me.

Number 2 AND MOST IMPORTANTLY… what kind of sick person leads with this still? I understand it’s in the film, I understand Celine wanted it in the film, and I know it will bring attention to SPS… but I find it sick people are exploiting this photo already, not surprised, but still disgusted nonetheless.

Things I LOVED

• All the moments Celine spoke to Irene. All their discussions felt genuine and meaningful.
  
• The emphasis put on her Francophone career that is usually overlooked.
  
• The recording sessions of 'Love Again' which I think best exemplified her vulnerability.
  
• The seizure scene for demonstrating what SPS does to the person.
  
• Bear and how the documentary was dedicated to her memory!

Things I did not like

• The constant back and forth between the uncertainty of the present and the grandeur of the past. I understand what Irene tried to do, but a couple examples at the beginning and end of the film would have been enough, in my opinion.
  
• The tribute to John Farnham. Unnecessary and out of place - does not quite link to any of the themes discussed in the film.
  
• James Corden

Overall, I'd give this an 8/10. I think it was excellent - for me, the best documentary of her career.

I cried SO HARD... I just can't stand seeing this woman I love so much suffering that way... I'm still feeling like crying just by remembering that scene...
It's a good docu... and just made me love Celine MORE...

Yeah, Irene commented on that in several interviews. Particularly jarring for her I'm sure since she has always been surrounded by so many people (starting with her massive family!). But it was also self-imposed isolation, focusing on herself and on getting better. And we know she has people around who weren't really shown (like Linda & Alain). RC might not live at home anymore but I'm sure he's around a lot, too.

I just watched the documentary. I'm pretty speechless right now. It's really a reminder that we never know what someone is going through in their life.

As good as it was I wish it focused even more on her now and what she was dealing with, and then show some archival footage of her performing to show what she was feeling the lose of.

But to talk about the people who helped her go far and show a montage of some of those people I think at least could show the person who without his support most of if not a majority of us would not even know who Celine is, bothered me. Yes without her voice, her talent, dedication and hard work being foremost she still needed someone with unwavering support to open those doors so the world could hear and see her. If she had spoken English or even started when the internet existed it would be different but that was not the case. This is where I feel Irene fell down for me as she treated Rene as just the husband she lost. At least then talk a little of how that played into what she was going through and feeling she had to be strong for everyone after he passed. Instead of going the easy way with playing All By Myself. Also It almost felt like Irene and her team didn't even realize he was her manager. Why I wished they really just focused on now.

Yes it was good to hear. Just hope this doesn't put pressure on her from people to asking when it will be. Hopefully the announcement of a date is imminent.
