Yeah it's all marketing. On my Spotify 'mix' lists, like one of Céline, Shania is heavily present now. Even though I never listen to her!
Rick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!

I doubt it, because i think that her come back on the stage in Vegas would be a nice way to end the documentary (and it takes time to edit the documentary once its done filming, maybe not 6 months but at least 2-3 months)… Seeing this on Netflix, it would drive people to buy tickets for her show

No it would be devastating. But some people deeply believe that this is what happened. His best friend Guy Cloutier did exactly that with Nathalie Simard but got caught and was put in jail.
But I don’t want to believe it. I choose not to, but what if…
Valerie lemercie’s movie does help not to believe such things though

Newsflash: it usually takes several years to make a film. The average Hollywood film takes 4-5 years from conception to release… and even big budget films keep news about production under lock & key until it’s time to promote the project - because you never know what will change through the course of filming.
Albeit this is a documentary, but my point remains that it takes time. Give it another year or two. If we haven’t heard anything by then, then we can add it to the list of shelved projects in the TC vault.

Not “nothing”. They were recruiting an associate producer for it 10 months ago. Posting said production expected to take about a year but that was before the latest concert postponement so that’s probably getting pushed out further.
I wouldn’t expect any news on it for another year or so. Production takes time.

(Provided, of course, Céline is willing to go there.)

If the documentary is still on the table it's now potentially gotten more impactful.

I’ve been thinking about this too. If Celine has allowed cameras to capture these intense moments in her life… it could be incredibly compelling.
One of the greatest singers of all time diagnosed with a rare condition that could take away her ability to perform.
Still wrapping my mind around it.
Who knows… maybe working on the documentary will help her in some way to process everything. She should only do it if it feels valuable to her healing… not because she feels obligated.

Oh absolutely, only then.
I was just thinking of how Irene's best work is about people dealing with and overcoming physical limitations. She has literally already made a doc about a musical vitruoso losing his ability to do the thing that made him who he was.
Here and Now (Peabody Award) was about her parents, who were deaf, getting cochlear implants late in life and learning to hear.
Moonlight Sonata was about her son (also born deaf) getting his implant and learning to play piano (the titular piece, which of course Beethoven wrote while going deaf.)
Open Your Eyes was about providing cataract surgeries to those in the Himalayas who spent years without sight.
Final Inch (Oscar nominated) was a documenary short about the efforts to eradicate polio.
So she knows how to handle this kind of subject, I think. If Celine feels comfortable and is willing to share, I think this could be something quite compelling.
I've posted these trailers before but here they are again. Hear and Now is available in its entirety on YouTube, the others are on HBO.

Meh, Sony needs to monetize her catalog, which was the whole point of this. That’s why that division of SME exists.
Films take years to make so I don’t see how a longer production window is necessarily a killer to this project.
The only reason I see for it to be off, really, would be if Céline no longer wanted to do it.
