Netflix Canada just posted two random photos of Celine and this board did what it does and created an elaborate story about there being a Celine Dion Netflix Documentary/Concert. Nothing was ever planned. Nothing was ever announced. Just some fans concocting fantasies and then getting mad when their made-up fantasy never happened.

But...but...but...the official Celine account starting following Netflix's account...just like millions of other accounts. smh

Celine follows fewer than 100 accounts on Twitter. And Netflix Canada's account, which is following fewer than 1300 people, has tweeted exclusively about Celine at least about 15 times of their own volition. That doesn't begin to count all the times they've replied to others and mentioned Celine or mentioned Celine in their own replies. Facts matter.

People love to act as if fans sniffed some forest mushrooms, when actually it was obviously based on observable activity. It was an unconfirmed rumour based on real, actual, observable activity. But sure keep pushing your own narrative.

A 'rumour' that originated on this board out of our collective imagination and wishful thinking.

It's like you have an I.Q. of 7 or you just deliberately misunderstand things. No one on this forum claimed anything was officially announced. They created a RUMOR that something was happening. Then this forum turned it into "There's a Netflix documentary happening! Oh my God, let's all have an orgasm and get excited about this!!!!!!" Then, no documentary happened and this forum became angry and asking the questions, "Why did the Netflix documentary never happen?" "I thought there was a Netflix documentary they were working on. The whole point is this: There was never any confirmation of a Netflix documentary but people on this forum started a rumor and then got upset when nothing happened. I don't know how to make it any clearer than that.

It's so sad. His family must be devastated. Don't ever complain about how "old" you are as you continue to age. Always remember that there are so many people who didn't get the chance to live as long as you. I've had too many friends pass away far too young. Each day is a gift.

There’s nothing to update really, except that we continue to get new Instagram followers everyday and just broke 900 followers. Really that’s nothing compared to some fan groups with 10-20k followers. But the difference is that all of our content was original, and it took lots of volunteer labour to produce that. From the start, we promised to give it a solid effort for about 4 months — which passed in April, with our petition barely breaking 1,000 signatures. Since then, despite DMing each new follower with the link to the petition, the number of signatures has barely budged.

We sent emails to Team Celine & Sony, tagged them in many posts, and still not even a peep from them.

The elite “superfans” & most large fan groups shunned us… We discovered that many of them already possess access to the unreleased concert footage and they don’t want to risk that supply being cut off just because they put their neck out there to help other fans less fortunate and less connected to her team.

In a last ditch effort, a few of the Say Yes Celine people (myself included) are attending the premiere at Resorts World, and are planning to hand someone on her team a package containing a letter, a small gift, and a deluxe Blu-ray box with our best campaign videos & an insert booklet containing visual mock-ups of all the possible ways they could release material (limited edition box sets, collectible multi-format sets, etc).

At this point, they’ve been sitting on this footage for 2+ years and they’ve have plenty of time during the pandemic to figure out even the smallest token of appreciation for the fans that have been waiting to see her shows. They know we’re here, and yet they do nothing.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: after this set of shows, personally, I’m done spending my money on Céline at all. 2019-2021 were the absolute worst years to be a fan, and the new show will have to be extraordinary to make up for all the neglect. And frankly, though I’m keeping my expectations low, I am not alone in expecting zero change from the status quo.

I really wish they cared about fans who aren’t able to travel to see her concerts. I remember when I was young how much her home video releases meant to me, and it’s sad to think they’re neglecting such a big part of their fanbase by keeping it locked up.

Well we have to think of better ways. You guys have to be active, at least a post a day. There are so many Facebook pages ajd groups you can added to. Maybe use that feature of Instagram where they show your story to a lot of people(I think it's called sponsorship?), Or maybe that feature to link your petition in the story.

No one asks for videos from your accounts on social media, your normal live Celine photos can work as much as videos can. Reels are also popular nowadays.

There are sites(maybe) to promote petitions. Share it to people you meet. Maybe talk on radio.

It was a great try and the team should be applauded for their efforts. Ultimately, if Sony doesn’t want to release them, it won’t happen. There could be any number of business reasons to which we will never be privy as to why these concerts aren’t being released.

As someone said in another thread we’ve got a movie, a documentary, and a new Vegas residency coming as well as the contractual obligation of finishing the CWT. Celine, herself, has been busy. Sony hasn’t seemed to care that they have her on their roster for several decades now.

What’s the point? You think those videos have a broader appeal than full concert releases on Netflix or whatever?
I know many fans want those videos too—and not just for their sake, but for Céline’s sake. And I get that. Not to sound like a martyr, but my whole drive for this campaign was to help broaden Céline’s fanbase and, ultimately, her legacy by getting them to release some recent footage. But her team isn’t interested in either. We’re making one last attempt at Resorts World, and then it’s done.

If you or anyone else wants to take over the social media accounts, then we can discuss a transfer down the road. I’d be happy to see it continue, but our team doesn’t have time or energy to keep it going beyond Nov. 5th.
