I'm not saying I disagree about Sony... I'm just saying Celine's team will breeze right past this if they see negativity from the fanbase / creators of this mission. (In my opinion.)

I was more replying to Mirage who was saying that the 2019 show shouldn't be included in some sense due to us having the Tokyo show and I was just saying that big name labels do tend to release shows which are more appealing to the general public. And I would never say such a thing in the campaign itself but I am just pointing out something. Not that Sony wouldn't I am just saying based on what I have seen. I would absolutely love the mini tours and am on board 100% with trying to get them released but we need to also be aware of what we are dealing with. I'm not being negative at all. In fact ask Chantemoi I have prob been the most positive being like if they say this don't worry we'll shoot back with this.

Good evening/afternoon/morning! I have some (exciting?) updates:

Yesterday, I made our Facebook, Insta, Twitter, and YouTube accounts, and started adding fans and fan groups whose names were passed along as potential collaborators.

Today, I updated our Stories on FB and IG calling for people who want to help spread our message on Socials, because I think this is where we'll need as many people as possible to help message friends, fan groups, etc. and get them excited for our launch.  I also emailed les Red Heads asking for their support/participation, and will be anxiously awaiting their response. I'm told they are really polite, but I am nervous they won't want to get onboard until they see us really cranking out some top-notch content. And with that...

We have a couple of graphic designers (Shaun & Maki_Dion-er) working on posters/banners to share on our social media accounts. In the FB/IG stories I posted today, I also announced that we are currently taking applications for a videographer (or realistically, more than one) to create our more compelling visual arguments.

In case anyone missed it, we are planning on a series of short teasers highlighting the 3 sets of concerts and why each of those milestones are so important to Céline's legacy. Meanwhile, we'd be working on another 1-2+ videos that would be significantly longer and more detailed, reiterating their significance to Céline's career, but more importantly this time: the fans. This visual argument would incorporate our specific requests (a montage of at least one performance from all the songs in Vegas over the years, all those goodies from 2016-17, etc.) , as well as fan-submitted videos explaining why these concerts are important to them personally ("This was my first show", "I took my mom to Vegas and we heard our special song, Immortality", "Seeing Céline return to the stage in Vegas/Paris/Montréal/London so strong gave me #courage", etc.) and pleading for the release of these iconic performance. Due to the amount of interest, we are now also considering grouping these volunteers by region, and having each region put together their own montage of fan-submitted videos which would make it easier to then re-edit into a global video. All of these could be shared on our Socials, providing more than one person to be involved and creating that much more content.

If you are interested, please send links to examples of your video edits to sayyesceline@gmail.com. We are hoping to have that role(s) of videographer(s) filled by Sunday the 31st when we conduct our next Zoom meeting so we can begin this massively important part of our campaign.

Ouf, I forgot to ask:

What do you all think about the idea to purchase/rent the same concert on the same day? Would you do it?

* I do realize that French concerts may be a hard sell, given the language barrier... Either way, I'm not opposed to any of these options, because honestly it would give Sony & Team Céline some pretty good data about the number of people willing to buy these.

Even if the number of people buying/renting is not massive, we could still argue it's enough demand for them to release our requests as a one-time, digital event for the fans. LOADS of artists have been doing this over the past year. And you can't convince me that they have a greater following (or less financial means) than one of the best-selling global artists in history.

I think there's probably a reason why we don't have dvds of past events. Probably a combination of things. But I highly doubt after this long anything is gonna get released. Here are few comments that Ive received back fromm one of my groups

I don't think that's really gonna change especially if it was Celine's decision not to release something. Like I've read it was Celine's decision not to release the Millennium concert dvd because she wasn't feeling well and her voice wasn't 100%. But I've also wondered honestly if its sales. If the previous dvds lacked sales, they won't release a new one. And we also have no idea if there was ever any plan to release anything. If they release something, awesomesauce. If not, I got 40 years of magic to watch.

Yup, in the specific case of the Millennium Concert, it wasn't released because Céline didn't want it to, so that's probably the end of the discussion right there. However, that's not the case with all of the unreleased shows.

I'm glad that you like what I did and thought of. Of course all the social media exposure, banners and posters are important because they attract the viewers (both those who potentially decide whether to release something or not and other fans who would like to have such a release). And this professional leaflet describing in detail each release is essential for Sony/management. And it can be longer but not bla bla bla but really important reasons and I think the dots are fine because it is not dense.

I might work on other descriptions. Once posted, more dots (justifications) are welcomed!

Also, regardless any differences, I think all fans from here, CelineDionItalia and The Red Heads too should be involved. Only together with big involvement we can only win something here... Otherwise, I don't think we stand a chance as the forum is no longer a busy place like it once was.

HOWEVER, there are 30 000 members here, of course most not active anymore but I'm sure there is a way to send emails to all acounts, isn't there? Just like the birthday anniversary or something like. Once all major details are prepared such a newsletter could be sent... What do you think?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe if we start asking other fan big fan groups which cooperate they'll see this as a serious thing.

I want to take a minute to address this, along with some other arguments I've heard.

1) "We've been down that road before" - First off, no one has made an effort like this before, one focused on positive and optimistic fans (versus an angry mob  who are eager to cuss out Sony). I've heard of people flirting with the idea, but not following through. If I'm wrong about that, please inform me--but to my knowledge, no fan effort has ever been seriously organized because it would have been mentioned in this thread at some point. I know many people have petitioned, but individually we aren't going to get far. If people join this cause, I believe we have a shot.

2) "They won't release anything because of poor sales" - We are giving them the option to release these performances for online streaming. They could easily figure this out and upload the songs to her YouTube channel for free.

3) "Well none of it is professionally filmed" - Yes, there is proof that London (2017) and Vegas (2019) were, because they posted signs. Even though we don't have proof of the other shows being "professionally" filmed from crazy angles, we are not even asking for that in this campaign. We are going to make it explicitly clear that we will settle for upscaled screen footage, which we know they save because of all the clips we've seen in press footage as well as TV appearances she'd made through the years, and even their bonus doc from AND had clips from the show where her father died. . . Even if they only kept the show that were special to Céline in some way, we know they have them and we would like to enjoy them.

4) "Well if Céline doesn't want it released, then there's no point in trying." - WRONG. The reason this campaign is going to be our best shot at ever getting these concerts is simple: we've never lived through a pandemic before. The tour will certainly be cancelled/indefinitely postponed in the coming weeks and I cannot iterate enough that this is the time to strike. If they come at us with a "sorry for making you wait a year", we can answer back in a very sweet, pleasant tone: "Okay, so what are you going to do for us to keep us interested".

5) "Good luck playing hardball. Those guys are a$$holes. They don't care about the fans." - Maybe you've tried this before--I know many of you have. But IF we get people on board and present our case in such a sweet, pleading, personal tone, do you really think they are going to jeopardize their "core, die-hard" fan base? I'd love to see them try because at that point, I'm done. So I'm giving it my best effort, using what little I know about marketing and organizing people.


In summary, I think the best response to negative or defeated fans is this: right now is really unique moment in time where the ball will be in our court, and it's now or never. To repeat an old adage: "You will miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

I've added/followed several of these accounts, and a few of them have shared our stories which garnered us a few new likes. But I do need to reach out and send them more details. I'll try to work on that today or tomorrow!

I still think that we should cooperate to achieve something... Give them a chance. And actually all of fans to work on something regardless of their differences. After all, we have nothing to lose, because it could only mean more people.... If someone says no, fine, but let's be inclusive on this one. We've had literrally no worldwide dvd since Taking Chances and I don't want to say no French dvd since TC but still Une seule fois was rather focused on Quebec only.... so after all these years, even if some of us have tried to ask various people about dvd, even though we saw signs they were recording, we saw some people have actual dvd copies and yet we got literally nothing. So honestly it's doing something BIG and with cooperation with other or it doesn't make sense and will end up with nothing. And I guess it's our last chance to get anything from these years...


At this point I would be even satisfied with good quality audios from these shows....

Of course this fanbase is much much bigger than Celine, they are even #44 on Spotify while Celine is somewhere #428.
But releasing a dvd with highlights from 6 years!
Bet they aren't all filmed professionally but still see the light of day.
It's something that easily can be done with Vegas. ALL the songs she has ever sung during the 2011-2017 leg.

And I believe it was the reaction of the audience that made René decide to film the all show again. The truth is that her look was really terrible. The 2007 release is beautiful. I just hope it would include more bonus tracks... but perfection is impossible.

Now I would love to have the Celine... Live in Las Vegas DVD with all the best moments, specially from 2011 to 2018.

I never understand this particular look.
There was a period she looked stunning with the blonde hair(the wigs they tried one shown in the AND first show ook) . Divas Live, Wayne Brady. But not this granny look.

I truly do wish the best for this endeavor. However, I do want to point out to those involved that you'll be dealing with the same buffoons who can't even manage her YouTube channel correctly. The official audio videos for "I Know What Love Is," "Baby Close Your Eyes,"  "With This Tear" and others are still blocked. Plus, they uploaded two songs from "Sans attendre" under the incorrect titles. Furthermore, they titled two songs incorrectly by adding or omitting words from them completely. So, if you are able to get in touch with anyone on her team, be mindful of the fact you'll have to baby them and hold their hands the entire way through since it's clear they are inept in many ways.
