I am obsessed with the new music video lol!!

I could watch "And I knoooow that my heart will" part over and over again. The first chorus too is just so good. Her expressions and all. And it is kind of funny, because I generally hate anything playback related. But in this context of a music video, I am totally hooked!

A new, remastered version of the video for Celine Dion’s massive hit “My Heart Will Go On” from “Titanic” will have fans enjoying the track with the kind of clarity the ship’s captain must’ve seen when he spotted the iceberg in the ship’s path in the Atlantic on that cold April 1912 night.

On March 23, a new video for the song was released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Dion performing it at the Academy Awards in 1998.

“To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Celine Dion’s biggest hit of all time, this performance focused music video has been reimagined, featuring remastered footage in stunning clarity,” reads the video’s description on YouTube.

“Newly transferred from the original 35mm film reels and assembled in a brand new 4K edit, the video features exclusive, never-before-seen footage from the original ‘My Heart Will Go On’ video shoot from 1997.”

The clip is a feast for the eyes, with a crystal clear picture. It features Dion on a ship, much like she was in the original video for the song, wearing the same strapless white gown, except the picture quality is so good you could mistake the visual for CGI. Another key difference from the original video is the new one does not feature any scenes from “Titanic” cut into it.

“We waited 25 years for this version in HD! And it is worth every second!” one fan raved.

“25 years ago this song changed the music industry, thank you very much Céline Dion for transcending with a song that will continue to be heard forever!” another person gushed.

“Twenty-five years later, this video comes to us. A new version; new perspective, fresh and original. A message for new generations to not let this classic die, and to us to relive the nostalgia and passion,” someone else commented.

It is hard to understate the immense popularity of “My Heart Will Go On,” which won best original song at the 70th Academy Awards, as well as Grammy Awards for record of the year, song of the year, best female pop vocal performance and best song written specifically for a motion picture or television.

It also spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remains Dion’s signature song to this day.

Interestingly, Dion has said she didn't want to record the song, but was talked into it by her late husband, Rene Angélil.

“It didn’t appeal to me,” Dion said on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" in 2019. “I was probably very tired that day. I don’t know, very tired.”

“And my husband said, ‘Let’s hold on,’” she continued. “He talks to the writer and says, ‘Let’s try to make a little demo,’ and I sang the song once and they built the orchestra around it. I never resang it for the recording, actually. So, the demo is the actual recording, but after that I sang it about three gazillion times.”

I do wonder if we'll ever get to see this original music video in true high quality. Do you guys know if the MHWGO music video is included on a Titanic blu-ray? It's been re-released so many times. As far as I know it's only ever been released in DVD quality. (Or upscaled by fans)

Seeing all these new scenes it's just so unbelievable...

I can't decide wich one I love more, but this new release is amazing

Thanks. I've always wanted to know. It's really weird it's not even in proper HD in the blu-ray. After we got this new version of the music video, I wonder if we'll ever get to see the original in true HD.

1) The consumption of this song is incredible!
2) There used to be MHWGO videos with hundred millions of views that have now been removed.

4) Shame that these numbers are not taken into account in RIAA certifications.
5) The new video by CelineDionVEVO has got to face some crazy competition!

Well if im not wrong i remember that when youtube changed the official music channels (adding the small note next to the name) one of the "feature"was that you upload the official video, delete it from all the other not official channels BUT all these vews by those videos added to the official upload.
In few words i was hoping that they will upload the official My heart will go on video (which i prefer to be honest) and they would add to this all the hundrends of millions views that the music video has from the non official channels.

Plus, its ironic that anyone on youtube can upload the official video with the movie scenes without been blocked for copyrights but the official channel can not!

I'd say 95 percent. I checked this new one against the original video with the Titanic clips, frame by frame... and I can confirm that only THREE short clips from this remastered version made it to the original official 90s version, one of the three being the one on the thumbnail.

So many years of waiting for "My Heart Will Go On" to finally be released on Celine's YouTube, and what a amazing surprise gift to the fans from Team Celine, to have this new incredible reimagined, remastered music video with never before seen footage, in 4k HD!!  
Some words to express what so many fans like me have been feeling in the past 24 hours finding out about the new music video being released and after watching it-  Surprised. Shocked. Excited. Thankful. Thrilled. Extremely grateful. Pleased. Elated. Very appreciative.
I personally still like the original iconic, record breaking, official music video with clips from Titanic better, but... I LOVE this new, music video too!  The new music video is extremely beautiful, vivid, vibrant, eye-catching, and Celine looks like she is glowing, gorgeous, and glamorous! Very classy!

This surprise quality release was definitely one of the best releases from Team Celine in years, along with the updated "My Heart Will Go On" RIAA certifications last November.

In less than 24 hours, the new official alternative music video is achieving some great views and streaming numbers so far! The first 24 hours, the new music video with the official audio for the timeless song, has more than 115,000 views on Celine's YouTube, achieving thousands of views each hour! The views of this amazing video should hopefully begin to skyrocket!!

And, in the first 24 hours, the post for the new music video on Celine's official Facebook page has achieved over 235,000 views, along with over 4k shares, and 1.4k comments, and the video post on Celine's Instagram page has received more than 3.2 MILLION plays in less than 24 hours!!

Few things are *truly* iconic, but this one is up there". (There's the info on Celine's iconic dress in the video!)

Team Celine at Sony Music Canada also posted about the new music video with a link to the video, and Humberto Gatica posted a clip of the new video on his official Instagram story, and said "So proud to be a part of your musical career @celinedion"

This is like a dream come true to finally have this moment and to have this incredible new gift for loyal fans and new fans to enjoy!!

The images look gorgeous..she looks gorgeous but I still wish to see the whole clip in 4k because the editing of that clip works so good with the song. The new edit without the movie scenes lacks something. sure they did a great job editing all the takes in crystal clear quality and that is awesome but the edits go from night to day to day and night in the same phrases. Celine looks like she sang it yesterday and that is stunning work but , for instance the images of the ship breaking and the elderly couple holding hands in the bed.. I have always loved the clip..
Yes maybe one of us dares to make the exact edit?

Im sure it was just Team Celine/Sony, and they probably owned the rights to the Celine scenes

I always thought that in the original video they should have shown more parts of her, and now we got this, only her the entire video it just did my entire year

That is how it always is, especially at the beginning. You are comparing a 15-second loop video that people can watch again and again and easily share to a 5-minute video that came out of nowhere of a song that is 25 years-old.
