It would be so fun if some Drag Queens or just public started lip-syncing to Celine inside theatre before movie starts! Might be a good tactic to make the movie viral

Her cult of gay fans is undeniable. I think the Célinaissance and recent popularity of IACBTMN really solidified her as an icon —not just to gay men, but to all people who enjoy camp culture.

Yes, LA will probably perform nicely on streaming platforms, but let’s hope word of mouth gets around and this movie isn’t a total flop at the box office. Releasing it a week early might build some momentum against all the other big “goliath” movies opening Mother’s Day weekend!

But she is has an obligation to the producers of Citadel to promote that- they pay to get her on shows to promote their programme, not Sony Entertainment’s CelineFest. That’s why the timings are bad because Love Again was meant to be out long ago and the actors would have been able to dedicate time to things that had all been organised well in advance. T’is a shame

And the writers' strike certainly doesn't help. Priyanka's appearance on Colbert yesterday canceled as a result and upcoming ones probably in jeopardy as well, depending on how long this lasts.

I'm loving the experiences from the cast and director and sorry can't help but compare to that whole mess that was Will Ferrell's The House with the nixed Mariah cameo.

Sad. They missed the best date of Valentine's day hoping for Celine to promote it. And it still didn't work out.

Now it does make me worry a bit more now to be honest.

Look at the timings though. Celine announced her SPS diagnosis in early December. She may not have started treatment at that point. Christmas was a few weeks later then it was January and the film was due for release in Feb. Regardless of how the treatment was going; she wasn’t going to be able to promote in Feb. It was too soon after diagnosis.

Just because she’s not able to promote now also doesn’t mean it’s bad news. She could be doing well and wants to stay away so as not to jeopardise progress.

I don’t know what to make of her silence at the minute though. Maybe it isn’t going well but I honestly cannot predict what’s coming next.

I’m excited for the film though. Something new!

Yes, Sam confirmed in the interview I posted above that there's a premiere event today.
Presumably that one at AMC Lincoln Square this evening.
