Because she love’s Celine and wants to record a duet with her.
I think that a Celine Dion & Lara Fabian duet on her next French album would be a great idea.

Of course she didn’t say that but Walter Afanasieff did. I’m not sure how much we can trust him but given that he used the word “hate” I’m pretty sure Céline at least dislikes Lara. Might also explain why they never sang together.

When Walter said that, he seemed quite bitter and unreliable as a source.

That said, I do really want to know who Céline dislikes. What she really thinks of people in the industry.

Really the only negative gossip we ever got was Céline disliking David Foster for a little while after his comments in the ABM recording session..

Because Lara has a huge respect for the Legend that Céline is.

YES... BUT.... 1 if anyone should be singing this song, its Celine! 2 Lara has loads of great, inspiring songs of her own... why not do that instead?
