Yeah that would be awesome. Also I think Jim Steinman is brilliant when it comes to writing long epic songs and keep you interested through the entire song.
Today there are no writers like that, I think. Or at least someone who don't care about radio and just write the song they want.
Why can't they just write the song not having radio in mind and then cut it to fit radion. Like there are shorter versions of IACBTMN. Yes they sound s*** but they radio friendly. Probably just to get used to it

Couldn't agree more! Hope there will be a few songs that last 4 mins and more at least... I know that this doesn't mean that there's more quality in a 5/6 mins song rather than in a 3 mins one but it surely means that who writes it wants to create some work of art. "Work of art" is what came to my mind when I first heard Play me like a love song even if it's hard to think it will be a 5 mins song...

Plus: am I wrong or something went wrong between Celine and Jim Steinman? She should have covered some of Meat Loaf epic songs (mainly written by Jim) or made a duet with him. My actual wish is she sings meat loaf's (and diane warren penned) Not A Dry Eye In The House.

By the way... There's a little, very little part of play me like a love song that reminds me of "without you" by Laura Pausini.

There's nothing wrong with her and Steinman, but I think I read that Meat Loaf is salty about Céline's version of IACBTMN and he thinks she butchered it and that her interptretion is not the way it should be (which is the duet that he and some female singer did some years ago). I think he will do anything to prevent her from covering one of   his songs.

Supposedly something happened with a request for Jim to give up some of the rights to “Is Nothing Sacred.” Which is allegedly why it ended up not appearing on the LTAL album.

I don't like it either. Back in 2006 when Meatloaf's version was released it was played more on the radio then I expected here. Probably because the featuring girl is Norwegian. I think Meatloaf's version is awkward, and it sort of feels like a ripoff version of Celine's version just with worse vocals... even though he supposedly hate it so much.

Yea I think probably around that time... But I think it's safe to say we'll get Lying Down since she "premiered" it on Karpool. Too bad, I'd rather have this then. But most prefferably another EDM track. Come on Céline look at the reception of FOMO in Hyde Park!

I agree! Not to mention Celine has good enunciation on Call The Man, on this new song she doesn’t. Comparing anything from FIY and LTAL with this new song is like comparing apples with oranges.
