It has been strongly rumored that Celine could have been performing in Eurovision 2019 for the big show before calling the winner, but instead of that we got Madonna who "sang" so bad.
I guess I will have to wait forever until she will come to sing here.

Considering it's July of 2019 I'd say her chances for performing for this are extremely slim to none......

She never denied of doing that, so I guess the answers are with her
Imo, Euro has become garbage long time ago, but I won't lie, only the thought of getting to see her (no matter in what format) in my country is over exciting and behind words. In any case, for the time her Album is out, performing there, let's say next year, won't serve her a lot. At least I hope we will get a nice special for the new Album

is she delivering the song Play Me Like A Love Song for this movie? Or  is Celine even related with this?

Huh? What makes you think that?

And as for your second question, no, not that we know of. But I wouldn't be surprised if they tried really hard to get her to cameo, because she's name-checked in every write-up about this, and is one of the few Eurovision references North American audiences will understand.

For anyone keeping track - latest additions to the cast of the Eurovision movie: Demi Lovato and, earlier this week, Dan Stevens.

They may or may not get it, but I bet an arm and a leg the producers have at least reached out to Celine for a cameo in this thing.

Well she does have 2 weeks off after each set of concerts! If it's recorded in LA, then it wouldn't be too far from her home.

I think it would be in her best interests to rest, stay as little stressed as possible and have some downtime between runs, rather than be uber stressed with no rest filming, which is how movie filming is, 12 hours a day on set... its insane. Then she ends up exhausted and has to go back on the road, not ideal

That would do it. No need for a week of 14-hour days on sets.

A music video is very different than a role in a movie, even if she only had like 5 lines, she’d probably need to do reshoots and stay on set all day etc.

Nah. Not for a cameo. I may not be a pro per se, but have spent enough time on sets to know you can totally polish off a cameo in a day.

I doubt her Muppets Movie cameo took anything longer than that. No self-respecting producer would waste time and budget like that.

If it was just a cameo, i doubt she’d do it. She seems to distance herself heavily from Eurovision to begin with so, unless it was something slightly substantial i doubt shes going to do it

Well, the Netflix Eurovision movie, originally slated for release this month in parallel with actual Eurovision, has - predictably - been delayed. But according to EW, only to June.

But...

"Fans of absurd costumed singers, pop vampires, techno-dancing grannies, masked metal monsters, turkey DJs and songs about 13th century emperor Genghis Khan are super bummed that this year's Eurovision song contest -- which would have taken place Saturday night (May 16) was canceled due to the coronavirus.
Luckily, Netflix has a movie for that. The streaming service and Arista Records have teamed up for the soundtrack to the upcoming Will Ferrell, Rachel McAdams movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga."

The Dutch radio channel Radio 2 organised a top 50 of best Eurovision songs. Surprisingly, cos it was never a hit here, NPPSM was number 26!

That being said, I was disappointed that Celine didn't record a short message for yesterday's special Eurovision program. There were many winners who did... and it would have been a nice "hello" to all the European fans, who would have been going to the Courage tour right now instead

I think BBC Radio 2 did something similar.

And I do wonder what her relationship with that contest is. Seems pretty fraught. They sure love to claim her (rightfully so), she less so. She acknowledges it, at best, but it’s not something she seems to embrace or celebrate as much as people expect her to.

How she feels towards the competition is besides the point now IMO. Celine isn't one to look back, we know that by now... it just would have been nice to get a message of hope for Europe...
