Poor Madonna, the press is so harsh to her. Yes LAP was a little bit stiff, but it was OK. Maybe she was nervous, because it was in Israel. Yes, even the Queen of Pop is a human being.

Agreed.
I wrote a bit about this here, but in short, I feel if she wanted to come back, she would have.
It's been 30+ years. She's their biggest success story. I'm sure they've asked. And it's not like she had 30-years' worth of scheduling conflicts...
I get the sense it was not a positive experience for her and she doesn't want to be associated with it any more than she already is (though of course, being the diplomatic nice girl that she is, she would never say so outright).

I agree with everything you said honestly. The bad song choice, the fact she felt so much pressure, she was getting “bet on” and felt she was being worked like a horse... i think along with what she said about her prime in the courage interview on April 3rd, this is definitely a moment she would rather forget

When I was growing up, people looked down on Eurovision, but not anymore. It's still seen as super campy, but that's why people love it now. It's just people's perception that has changed.
Doesn't that sound familiar?

Céline would be a perfect fit to perform, participate in a skit, even present...She could totally make fun of her last performance.

I don't think Céline has a clue about how well received the song would be if she performed it in concert in France, Belgium...It's easily one of her most well-known songs where I live.

Compare to everyone's performances, she's so ordinary. It's good, but not more exciting than the others.

Really? I haven’t watched any of the performances from this show. Only Céline and Lara back in 1988. So, that means the other performances have bigger prods? Wow!

I watched the final show, not bigger production but more exciting, try to watch contestants from Australia, it's pretty simple but beautiful.

Céline isn't one to look into the past, like many big moments in her career the Eurovision isn't talked about a lot. I don't think she hates it, but I can understand she dislikes to be reminded of the stress she was under. BUT It was during the Eurovision period when she and René first kissed, so it's not all dark memories.

If she's in Europe next May, she (and her management) would be crazy not to want to be on a show that has 200 million viewers...

Not Eurovision specifically, but i simply said it could be another moment she wishes to forget. But when the interviewer brought up her prime and how popular she was in the 90s she said something super similar to what Mariah said when she was interviewed about Caution... ill paraphrase “I know im not gonna sell 30 million records anymore, the music industry has changed, but I dont wanna sell like that anymore. All the pressure... Id rather forget about it”... I *Believe* it was in the interview where she was shown the fashion moments

As previously rumored, Netflix just picked up US rights to Eurovision, so it's about to finally get a big platform here. Probably in preparation for the release of that Will Farrel film.

I hope she wants to distance herself from it. But she can be a special guest to promote an album or something but not a contestant.
She is too good to be on there. Eurovision is for amateurs or not established artists. Imho
But yes, it could be great PR to be on it in some way.
