What so many people are not getting is that this was a Met Gala event. The goal is to support the Met's Costume museum with an hommage this year to Comme des Garçons.

This is not the Oscars. I applaud Celine and Law for being bold and making a big fashion statement.

So in that respect, consider that she was wearing a beaded short pant suit with a black (can't tell the fabric) overlay assembled together with gold clips. Very couture! And perfect for last night's event celebrating CdesG.

Only let down was that the look was debuted in 2014.

Correct me if Im wrong... but the "thing" on her head is actually not a "head piece" of some kind... but its ACTUALLY ENTIRELY HER OWN HAIR...

If you look closely at this sideview photo, I don't see any bun at the center so the "fringes" sticking out of her hair is actually her hair, ironed out so finely/thinly to look like paper then styled to look like Japaese origami as an hommage to the Japanese designer by which this year's gala is inspired.

Yeah it's made of hair.
Not all her own because her "own" hair is too short for it.

They use extensions/weave for these kind of creations. They flat iron it with lots of hairspray in it so that the can make these shapes.
Then they attach it on the her own hair. Looks cool dont ir?

Yes. I saw an Insta yesterday from a hair stylist who said that's indeed the case. Don't remember who did it / can't find right now, but according to the post it was all her own hair.


It's definitely a love it or hate it look (I'm in the latter camp...); she's both on Best Dressed and Worst Dressed lists... But hey, at least she had fun! That's a genuine smile and we saw a lot if last night, and it's been far too long since that has been the case.

I loved this look of hers. I think she took a risk of wearing that dress. But she is given 5 dresses to choose from. Maybe she loved this one the best and the rest of the dresses were terrible?
And her make up was on point! It was done by Justin St Clair, the same on that did the Hollywood Reporter photoshoot, Bee Gees tribute, Grammy's and BATB premiere. I think the Grammy's was the first time she worked with him.

Perez Hilton .. sigh. The dresses he chose as best dressed, omg seriously, some of them were so ugly. I don't know what he needs to put someone one the best dressed list.


But most important thing for last night was that Céline was over the moon happy. No fake smiles, just pure happiness. She even let lose on the dance floor. I think yesterday at the MET Gala was exactly what she needed

I usually don't involve in this kind of topic about clothes and stuff because I really don't care.

But things in this world are far beyond my understanding... it's like another planet to me:

1. How can't we like her dress ( that doesn't mean loving it of course)? Actually, I was expecting something more "risky". It looks like a classic outfit to me for this kind of gala. Nothing extravagant. But hating it?
Did we see the same dresses? What about Kate Perry, Madonna, Rihanna and so many more... ?
That's really ugly! And I even believe some of them wear such horrendous things on purpose, so people talk about it...

2. How can we spend so much time talking about it?   
3. I don't even know why I'm writing about it.
I think I'm just trying to understand how such vain things can reach such a scale of reactions ( good or bad).

I don't think my questions will be answered today.
I'm going back to enjoy the fantastic vintage re-orchestration of "Water and a flame".
