Just saw the performance of MHWGO from Nice. Those high notes are sounding amazing! I can't believe how good her voice has been on this tour! No rasp or cracking!

She's a clever woman, very clever. She knows how to work publicity.  I can't stop thinking about what she sang, 'people thought they know me, think they saw me, nothing yet.' She sang something else after that, 'people have the know.' So something is coming! A Celine storm!

VERY true. I can tell she's not interested in anybody right now. And if she was, well, they'd have to be pretty dog gone people. She has very high expectations I'm sure, and for good reasons.

I was sad when Rene died, largely for Celine and her kids.  But the fact is their relationship was suspect at BEST.  He was an elderly man who micromanaged every aspect of her life until his death (not even going to get into the possible grooming here) and then he literally assigned another elderly man to take over once he passed.  So it's incredibly condescending and gross for someone to mention those 2 male figures in a post about her going out as if she is a little girl who has to be parented.

i think he went by himseld... but i find  it a bit disturbing when René named him himself, as if she needed René's protection for the rest of her life.  So what if she goes out a bit,  she doesn't drink , don't take drugs, i would be surprised she would begin now, she can't always stay home like before.

I'm going to be absolutely blunt - if you think that Celine is a bad mother, a bad person or somehow doing wrong by living her life, you're a stupid moron.

It frustrates me immensely that a tiny minority of her "fans" think like this - she's been in the music business for 37 years and for 35 of those, she has conformed to what everyone expected of her and with Rene by her side, she beat every expectation and outdid every single act that attempted to run with her.

I have no issue with her now choosing to live her life how she wants, doing things she's never done before, creating new memories and building on her already iconic and legendary legacy - she's given me everything I could ever want as a fan. And if you think differently, you don't deserve her.

Hot damn, what's a matter with some people!

I have been checking this thread for tour updates, but instead have read through a gazillion speculations on Céline's personal life instead. I'm sorry, but I find all of that a bit bizarre because, after all, she IS a 49 year old woman with three children. She's not a nun! If she goes out for a bit, she's photographed - that doesn't mean she hasn't spent quality time with her children. If she goes out with another adult, it doesn't have to mean they're intimate. Trust me - I've raised my children, and I didn't let motherhood overtake every aspect of my life - that's simply not healthy. I would really like to read this thread for updates on the tour, not for arguments over Céline's personal life. If that's really important to discuss, maybe a new thread could be started?

Aldo and René were great, but it was time to put an end to a certain level of overprotection.

A few days ago I stated on this forum that I didn't think it could get any better from here.  I was wrong.  Dead wrong.  This Vogue video is everything.  I am losing my freaking mind!!  After 27 years of devotion - it is still paying off - even more so now than ever!  Finally the world is seeing what we have all seen in her! She's going out, hanging with friends, loving her kids, into amazing fashion - this makes me a happy person.  I Google her every day, multiple times and there are so many new stories - pretty much all positive.  It is just such a gift considering how much criticism us Celine fans have had to endure over the years!  We were right the whole time!!  (insert chomping of Styrofoam mannequin nose here ))
