***CALL TO ACTION*** REQUEST CELINE FAMILY:

Celine still has not had ANY new RIAA certifications, in more than 10 1/2 YEARS! That is awful!!! The last RIAA certification was on July 16^th, 2010. That was for two video longform certifications. The last album of Celine’s to have any RIAA certification was for Taking Chances more than 12 years ago, in 2008! The last single of Celine’s to receive an RIAA certification was in 1998! Another even more shocking fact is that Celine has still NEVER had any digital single RIAA certification!

As you know, this award counts both downloads and on-demand music streams. On-demand audio and/or video song streams are counted towards the thresholds required for certification at the formula of 150 on-demand streams being equivalent to one download sale. According to the digital single criteria, Celine has MANY songs that qualify for RIAA digital single awards/certifications.

Celine, Whitney, and Mariah have been recognized by most as the top female vocalists since the 1980's and 1990's, and they have all received several awards and RIAA certifications over the years, but there is one BIG difference-  Whitney and Mariah have both received MANY new RIAA certifications in just the past 3 1/2 years, but Celine has received zero!  All you have to do is check the RIAA website to review the astonishing fact!

Mariah Carey=  22 RIAA cert’s last 3.5 yrs, just since 2017
3 albums cert’s, 2 from Legacy Recordings, 1 from Columbia Records
4 Gold Digital Single Cert’s, including 2 album tracks from Merry Christmas album by Columbia Records,
And 6 platinum Digital Single Cert’s, including 3 by Columbia Records, 9 multi-platinum Digital single Cert’s, including 5 by Columbia Records
Received total of 12 from Columbia Records, and 2 from Legacy Recordings, both record labels Celine's also with!

Whitney Houston=  19 RIAA Cert’s in last 3.5 yrs, just since 2017
4 albums cert’s, including new Diamond Certification
5 Gold Digital Single Cert’s, 1 by Columbia Records
And 8 platinum Digital Single Cert’s, 2 multi-platinum Digital single Cert’s
Also, 8X platinum certification for “IWALY”

Celine Dion=  0 Cert’s in past 3 1/2 yrs, actually in the past 10 1/2 years!!!

Can anyone who has not yet gone to columbiarecords.com, legacyrecordings.com, or sonymusic.com website PLEASE visit one of those websites, click send us feedback at the bottom of their websites, or you can go directly to sonymusic.com/feedback (since if you click send us feedback on Columbia Records website or Legacy Recordings website, you are routed to Sony music's website, since Sony Music owns Columbia and Legacy Recordings) and request that the labels submit new RIAA certification requests for Celine's songs, albums, and video longform releases that are eligible??  That could really help to have many fans requesting that!  

According to the RIAA:  Record labels are required to validate that titles redeemed through product sales/on-demand streams and counted towards certification have actually been distributed or downloaded within the United States, and Requests for certification may be made by email to the RIAA. RIAA certification entitles the authorized record company/artist to purchase official RIAA award plaques bearing the trademarked RIAA hologram seal from RIAA’s licensed plaque manufacturers. All certification audits are conducted, for a fee, by the firm Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman, LLP (GR&F) for the RIAA.  If multiple certification levels are simultaneously certified, only one audit certification fee is charged.

***This is not about Celine just getting more awards.***  Celine’s amazing songs, albums, and video releases have continued to stay relevant over the years, selling and streaming in the millions. These releases have been an important part of peoples lives, and their legacy should be honored by awarding their sales achievements with the RIAA certifications that they qualify for!

If this list of Celine's music received new RIAA certifications, the total would be 22 new certifications, the same amount that Mariah has received in just the past few years. Looks like Celine's team thankfully decided to honor Celine's best selling album and two of her biggest singles that were from the album, this month, during this albums special milestone 25th Anniversary!  Very exciting choice they made!

Since this happened, we can have more hope now that Celine's other eligible albums, songs, and video longform releases will also be updated soon also, especially "My Heart Will Go On", "That's the way it is" and "All The Way... A Decade of Song"!

Well, a new year is here, and since last March, still no new RIAA certifications requested for any of Celine's
classic, iconic albums and singles that are eligible, based on the very successful sales and streams.
However, there's a small amount of hope I was given yesterday, when Legacy Recordings (The Grammy-winning catalog division of
Sony music) read and liked my post on Instagram!
Legacy Recordings made a new post yesterday on Instagram, asking their followers to pick a song to describe your 2022 in the comments. Legacy Recordings picked "I Don't Know" by Celine!
Here is my comment that they acknowledged and liked: "Good choice of song for this year @legacyrecordings! Speaking of @celinedion, please request an update for Celine's songs and albums that are eligible for new & updated RIAA certifications/@riaaawards! Many of Celine's recordings are eligible based on their sales & steams. It would be amazing to see those recordings get recognized & honored! "  I was excited to see that Legacy Recordings did read my request and liked my comment/post!

I encourage any of you to also follow Legacy Recordings on Instagram and comment on some posts like this post, to request an RIAA award/certification update for Celine's recordings

This year marks the 25th anniversary of "Let's Talk About Love". If we are likely it will get the same treatment as "Falling Into You", which was the least effort they could do. It's now or never.

We should urge them to add "My Heart Will Go On" to her Vevo account. This video should be her most viewed. The same for "Because You Loved Me" and "Beauty and the Beast". There must be something to do with the rights, they can't be so absent-minded as to forget it.

I'm personally more interested in "All The Way" getting a Diamond certification. It must be so close when adding Soundscan's physical sales, BMG music club sales and streaming. She would tie with Shania and Whitney (both have three) as the female artist with most Diamond-certified albums.

Hello Celine fans, well... The summer of 2021- Celine's 40th career anniversary passed, with no new RIAA cert's, the Christmas season of 2021 passed with no new RIAA cert's (Celine's "These Are Special Times" album, and several songs from the album should receive updated, or first time RIAA cert's), and March 2022- when Celine's classic and successful albums Celine Dion (self titled) celebrated its 30th anniversary, and "A New Day Has Come" celebrated its 20th anniversary, and STILL no new album or single RIAA cert's.
So many opportunities recently for new RIAA certification requests from "Team Celine" and/or Sony Music or Legacy Recordings, but there sadly has been no more since March of 2021 and yet there's been many consistent new RIAA cert's for Mariah, and other legacy artists.
The odd thing is the the ONLY time Celine received any new RIAA in the past almost 12 years now, is when "Team Celine" celebrated the 25th anniversary of Celine's timeless album "Falling Into You" in March 2021. It seemed like that could have been the beginning of a promising, exciting new trend from "Team Celine", when there was new hope that maybe on the anniversaries of Celine's career, like the milestone anniversaries of her English albums, that they would begin to request RIAA cert's to celebrate and honor the albums and singles from those albums that are eligible. But, sadly, that has not been happening.

Why do you think there's been such a lack of new RIAA certifications for Celine's English career, since 2010?
As a fan, that appreciates the time, effort, emotion, energy, talent, and thought that goes into the albums and songs Celine's recorded, not only by Celine, but by her songwriters and producers, It's super frustrating to not see the recordings get the recognition they deserve for all the success (sales, downloads, streams) and enduring impact that they've had over the years!

It's exciting and meaningful to see Celine's incredible albums and songs get honored, and Celine made it a point to post on her social media platform about her appreciation of the last RIAA certifications in early 2021, so of course it's an honor for her also.

RIAA album cert’s would add an additional 10 million in album sales certifications to Celine’s current certification total for her album releases!

Video releases eligible to be newly RIAA certified-
“All The Way… A Decade Of Song & Video”- 3X Platinum
“A New Day Has Come” DVD single- Platinum (currently certified Gold)
“A New Day… Live in Las Vegas”- Diamond ( 10X Platinum+)
RIAA video release cert’s would add an additional 5.5 million in video release certifications on top of Celine’s existing DVD releases!
If Sony Music requests just these songs, albums, and video releases to receive these updated RIAA cert’s, that would total 34 million in RIAA certifications for Celine, and 2 new RIAA Diamond Awards!!

Recently just this year, many artists have received many new RIAA certifications and awards, such as Beyonce who received almost 70 NEW RIAA certifications!, and Mariah who received an additional 19 NEW RIAA certifications in just the past year!
RIAA certifications are still a very big honor and are still highly regarded in music to recognize an artist's career catalog! Celine has only had 3 new RIAA certifications in the past 12 years, and NONE in the past year and a half!

Celine has made Sony Music an incredible amount of money in her career, so the cost for any division or team with Sony is absurdly small (typically only $350 for each cert.), and should never be an issue.

All of the amazing songs, albums, and video releases from Celine that are eligible to recieve the new or updated RIAA cert's and awards, should surely be recognized for their impressive sales, streaming, and ongoing impact on people. Celine should have these recordings recognized to show what an amazing legacy she has in music, and that people across America are still loving her voice, music, and performances, and have been, even though so many releases have yet to be awarded any RIAA awards by request from Celine's team.


Here's a quote directly from the RIAA website, that explains the costs of RIAA cert.'s: Link- Apply - RIAA

"To cover the time and expense incurred by our certification and audit teams, we require the following fees:

• RIAA member companies: $350 per certification
  
• Non-members: $450 per level of certification (must be prepaid)

Please also note:

• Any requests that do not meet the Gold & Platinum Program requirements will still be charged the full audit certification fee.
  
• If multiple sales levels are certified simultaneously, the audit certification fee is only charged once per title to RIAA member companies. Non-member pay per level of certification requested."

It's so disappointing to think of all of the RIAA awards/plaques Celine could have, and all the love she can see her music has from the fans, seeing how much her songs, albums, and videos are purchased, streamed/listened to, watched, and treasured, if Celine's team would just make the requests and pay the small amount of money it costs Sony Music to show Celine their support for Celine as well.

Blame her because she doesn't care since Rene left. She cares about how to make more money than to spend it into other things. She love shoes, wardrobe, jewelry except this achievements.

I will not blame Celine.
It's any music artist's managment, and/or their record label and/or team that are expected to/responsible to make the request for RIAA certifications, not the music artist themselves.

I have a friend that works for Sony Music, at Legacy Recordings, and he informed me that Celine's team is with Sony Music Canada, and Legacy Recordings- Canada. Celine's current co-managers are: Denis Savage, and Dave Platel

Sony Music Canada and Legacy Recordings-Canada can make RIAA requests on any of Celine's music that is eligible to receive new or updated RIAA cert's/awards, anytime.
I'm very much hoping that Team Celine makes a new request very soon for ALL of Celine's career catalog that's eligible.
