Well both Katy and JLos Prime Time segments were 6 songs long and roughly 13 and a half minutes long.

Maybe the titanic segment will be 2-3 minutes long so im assuming 15-16 mins max

Yep, he said they were driving around for half a day with her!!

I remember Gaga saying she did over 16 songs over 5 hours for Carpool with james and they did takes of each song. Cutting it down to 6 songs based off of what they thought sounded best and what they needed music wise

But imagine if they did 16 songs, what would they be? Cause if it gets cut down to TPOL,IACBTMN,IDAN,BYLM,BATB and Ashes ill be so triggered lol. They probably also did ANDHC,IA,WDMHBN,ABM etc

I know it won’t happen, but I’d love for her to do one obscure, “fan favorite” song like “Somebody Loves Somebody” or “Coulda Woulda Shoulda.”

I don’t understand why she completely neglected the new tracks off of ATW:ADOS except from the one that became a hit i mean not even ONE performance

She did a performance of “Live (For The One I Love)” at The Millennium Concert, but it was lipped. However, it did get some recognition.

That’s what I’m saying, any singles after TTWII were released after she went on her break. So there would never have been any promo performances of the songs from ATW.

She couldve very easily done them on her return in 2002 or in the millennium show like she did with TTWII. Which yes was a hit but the other songs deserve recognition and its the ONE ALBUM that the new songs were paid nothing but dust

Why would she promote singles that were 2 years old as new songs when she had a new single out and a new album?

She was singing MHWGO, TTWII and even irrelevant covers just as much as she was singing IA and ANDHC.

And why wouldnt you? Youve done zero promotion or performance of said songs. Both of which had the chance to succeed on the chart so on your highly anticipated return, why not give them some love? They were still her most recent releases, promote maybe wasnt the best word. Maybe just acknowledging their existence and performing them at least once

In 2002 ATW already sold millions of copies, so it had its successful run. In 2002 there were no physical singles to be bought in the stores of IWCT, IWYTNM, TYLM or LFTOIL, so they would not even have a chance to chart, maybe only sell an extra few copies of ATW (which performing/promoting TTWII has probably done too) Also streaming services like iTunes were fairly new and wouldn't have made any effect on the chance of IWCT, IWYTNM, TYLM or LFTOIL charting.

Of course it would have been great/awesome if she had performed IWCT, IWYTNM, TYLM or LFTOIL at least once live in her career, but same goes for all the other hunderds of album tracks that were never touched after they were released.

Having out a new album and getting yourself back in the game, I think Céline and René made the right decisions to 1) perform the new singles and 2) remind people of the songs they know and love you from, making them want to buy new material too. Which hopefully this episode of Carpool Karaoke will do too!

I agree, its just a shame that you release an album with multiple new tracks and perform ONE song out of multiple (with an exception of one lipped performance at millennium) IMO is sad. And plus, the GP had no idea they werent “new” as she made no attempt to even discuss them so they couldve done so as it may have boosted GH sales as they probably increased too because of her comeback as people wanted to get familiar with her again and that wouldve been another incentive
