I understand the need to talk about it but to share the actual words she told René (I heard a clip of it) is just too personal as far as I'm concerned.
She can sure share how she explained things to her children but the last words to René is nobody's business...

I can see why it maybe uncomfortable for some people... But I think Celine has always used the media as an outlet in difficult times.  I really do think it helps her to be stronger...

POPULAR

The cover photo for "People" is absolutely perfect.  It shows her strength and natural beauty off, but at the same time also shows a fragility and tiredness from a woman who has been through Hell these past few months.  If they had gone with a glamour shot, I would have been put off by it.  It would have come across as fake.  The one used seems authentic, real and natural.

Were they her last words to him? Actual final words?. I thought she said those things to him, the gowns bit, then how she was talking and kissing him. Honestly don't believe they were her final words to him.

Well I do agree that it must make her feel better in a way.
But I'm a fan and it makes me a bit uncomfortable, I can't imagine how the non-fans will react...

I don't think so. I agree that she said the words before covering him and keep speaking and kissing. So they weren't her last words to him, I think.

They just spent the very first 10 minutes discussing the 2 video clips on The Talk! The biggest story always gets discussed first but never that long. I guess this is going to be quite the interview with a cover on People Magazine as well. Wow!

Ok guys, brace yourselves...

http://www.parismatc...67?xtor=CS2-14#

The interviewer talks about her conversation with Celine for Paris Match.  In the video she says how on the night before René's death, Celine returned home later than usual from Caeser's Palace. René had already taken his medication and was asleep, Celine did not want to wake him so she went to bed. The next morning, the nurse ran into Celine's room as René was on the floor. He had tried to get out of bed in the night but had fallen. Celine ran into his room and called the family doctor who apparently was in a panic but Celine was the one to calm him, saying everything's fine, he's no longer suffering. She put a heart-shaped pillow under his head and told him to 'leave in peace, I'm fine'.

I don't know why it wasn't told like this for GMA... :hmm:

Meanwhile I read in the comment section: ''I'm sorry for her loss. I Do wish people would stop sending balloons into the atmosphere. The harm they cause to our environment is terrible! If they want to stay with the "UP" theme, volunteer at an aviary or raptor refuge. It may be therapeutic and is a positive thing for the family.''

  People never fail to amaze me!

I'm sorry but I agree.  Balloons kill sea turtles and other marine life who mistake them for jellyfish and I hate when people release balloons.  Though I'm sure in Vegas they would probably burst way before they reached the ocean.

That was tough to listen to. Celine always comes across as more positive in english. I'm guessing it's the language difference.

Why is that such a shocker? Most people when sick and dying sleep alone.

One thing is not clear to me... Was he still alive when Celine entered the room? I don't understand this point clearly from what the journalist says. I think he could be still alive, because otherwise why calling the doctor? And I really hope he was

I agree. When people are terminally ill and nurses and doctors go in and out of the room to treat the patient, it's usually in a private room; it's treated as if he's in the hospital.  I'm sure Celine spent countless hours in that room by his side.

Sounds like it.
Its something natural to do when you have cancer and its your last weeks and days... you sleep at different hours, you're awake at different hours, you need medical attention at any moment.
Same thing happened with my mom before she died of cancer. My dad was there 15-20 hrs a day with her in the room to hold her hand and help in any way he could. He would sometimes rest by her side and sometimes he would go rest somewhere else for sleep...

"I really, really want to prove to my kids their mother is strong," she said. And she already has in many ways, returning to her Las Vegas residency in February and preparing to take the stage at Billboard's Music Awards on Sunday.

She'll be singing Queen's "The Show Must Go On," and notes in the interview that the song has special resonance. "Rene always insisted the show must go on," she says. "I'm 48 years old and I lost the love of my life. I miss him a lot from when he was great, but not from when he was suffering. I cannot be selfish. You have to let people go. I feel at peace."

Ok, I love Céline dearly, but why does she tell the details of her last moments with René to the world?
I don't get that...

Because she always did so and shall always will - I guess.
Same when she talked about her pregnancy. At that time people were saying why on earth is she talking about the in vitro thingy. Then years later people said it helped them because they heard a superstar talking simply about this.
I guess it will be the same here: the soft way she handles things may help other to process their own sorrow.
It's a connection she has with the people. The open book thing. And it's a beautiful open book- plenty of love and tenderness.

Sad to know that usually she always had time for hugs and kisses for Rene, but not that night because she was later than usual as Paris Match reporter said, but hopefully she found peace, at least sounds like it.

And singing Rihanna's work before late night interview :giggle:  this woman
