From the list of presenters I saw announced for the show, my guess is that Jennifer Hudson would be presenting Mariah with the Icon Award, not Celine.

Well, if we had to pick her appearing at one of 1) BBMAs or 2) Met Gala, I'd pick the latter. Seems more culturally relevant these days.
So let's hope she can at least make 2) happen next week!

Yes, that's what many of us have been assuming ever since that interview slip (see Met Gala topic).
It would be perfect given timing and this year's theme (and given that Gaga is a co-chair).

There’s literally a whole segment which is a performance given by an artist that incorporates fashion and art into their performance and matches the theme of the show... it’s literally what Madonna did not long ago

Madonna is a great performer. I saw her live back in 2016 Rebel Heart Tour. It’s one of the best show I’ve ever seen. It’s even better than Me. I Am Mariah concert. Even the part where she sang “La Vie En Rose” only with a ukulele. I almost cried when she sang that song. It’s really different when you see the show live than watching and listening to a concert dvd at home.

Madonna broke so many barriers and opened so many doors for virtually every female performer who came after - I think it's easy to forget, in 2019, that before Madonna, no woman was doing what she dared to do in the pop realm. And I have huge respect for her for all she accomplished by puling herself up by her bootstraps.

That said, she always struck me as someone who could certainly be more respectful of other artists. And I can't say I'm familiar with any of her music post Ray of Light.

But, she's a legend I would love to see live.

The audience are a bit quiet. Thank God! When Céline performed in Billboards 2016-2017 audience were so loud and there are more standing ovations haha

Because we all know the wonders of Madonna and of course she came back with a great performance that we'll never see from Celine. But no need to randomly say every day and not how spectacular Madonna is here, or Mariah's talents, we all know. I noticed that most of the times the content of your posts is 50% about Celine and the other 50% is always about Madonna or Mariah, but we are in the Celine Dion forum. Celine has other wonders but not everyone can appreciate them

But i only mentioned her... today..

Anyways, it’s over and the performance of Madonna with Maluma... I don’t like it. The performance of Taylor is cute. I like the visuals. Mariah... the medley is a bit messy. But many were praising Paula’s performance. I haven’t seen it yet.

Paula Abdul at 57 years old, out danced and out performed every single one of those other performers. She stole the show. Incredible.
