The Billboard Icon Award is a joke to me, the fact that Jennifer Lopez was awarded with this award (like seriously?!?!?) but not Madonna, Barbra Streisand or even Whitney Houston (posthumously) even though they had longer careers, were more influential and were more successful is baffling me. Granted they might be awarded with this award in the near future but oh well...

Well, at this point I suspect the best we can hope for is her presenting something, if she shows up at all.
Lots of rehearsal and pre-show media being posted by BBMAs, and I can't help feeling like it's a lost opportunity for Celine. But oh well, I guess she can't be expected to show up every year...

Yes she can´t be expected to be every year but she could finally show up with a new single and not with a cover versions or tribute for MHWGO ... but even with the new single it doesn't look she will singing it at any big awards ceremony.

True, but with all the big buzz around her tour announcement you would think they would use that to drop a new song.

Maybe they use the fuzz around Carpool Karaoke.
And if not, I'm gonna enjoy Madonna releasing a new single each week before the album drops.

Why not? It would be a truly legendary chance to see the two of them reunited again on the same stage, and besides it will add up to Céline's well-known humility when presenting the award to another legend

Although if that was to happen, I think no soul in the audience would let them speak or leave the stage without asking them in deafening scream to SING TOGETHER!!
