We, the fans, have been there through the good and bad and here we are.

In my heart I want to celebrate his life and mourn as little as possible. He's been a part of my life for over 20 years. I'm so thankful for that.

Beautifully said. Rene was to me not only a great human but he was the BEST manager Celine could have ever hoped for all the way til the end. I don't want to start a big discussion in this thread about this topic but I must say one thing.Whether we liked everything he did for Celine's career or not, NOBODY could've done better and every decision he made for her was in her best interest. Had nothing to do with sales or money or hits or fame especially the last 15 years. It's quite simple without René Angelil there is NO Céline Dion.

Let me see what I can manage. I will have to park and then walk to get a good pic. Hopefully, it will come out. But I will need help when I get back as I have never posted a pic here before. Changing clothes and then I'm on my way.

Nothing we can do but show support. The terrible thing is it's late in Europe, Middle East etc but it's only 7:00PM currently in Las Vegas. I wish for Celine's sake it would be night time so she would try to rest and be closed off from the world for a few hours. My heart really is aching.

My heart is completely aching. Now that I'm home from work I can attempt to process without fear of breaking down in front of customers. It truly is amazing how the death of someone who is technically a stranger can effect us, as someone else already said... my stomach was in knots all night. It still is. Feeling so much pain for her right now.

About to have a celine marathon of shows and probably bawl my eyes out. Ugh.

Such sad news! My heart goes out to Céline, her boys, and the rest of Rene's family. I heard this news on my way home from work, and I started thinking of all the times in my life when I've turned to Céline's music for some type of comfort/solace. Even though I'll never know Céline personally, her music has been such a big part of my life that I can be nothing less than tremendously grateful to Rene Angelil for helping to guide Celine's career and bring her music to millions of people around the world. I can only hope that she and her boys find comfort from those around them in the same way that I've found comfort in listening to her beautiful voice over all these years. RIP, Mr. Angelil...you will truly be missed!

I had to deal with customers when I heard the news too. I thought about just leaving work early to avoid having to act like nothing happened.

I was at my parents, and I just logged on to my Instagram and saw a picture that said "RIP Rene" so I checked other sources just to make sure it wasn't a death hoax, and deep down I knew it was true and it was confirmed.   I stared into my iPad and said " Oh No!" I was in a restaurant and saw them playing a video montage of Celine and Rene on the news, which they never do. Then I went online to discover the news. So sad. Rene was a beautiful man inside and out. His heart will go on.

This.  It's so true.  I think that is their greatest legacy - the sharing of such a beautiful love story with the world.   I love you, Celine and Rene.

Far more precious then the Grammys, the number 1 singles, the career. They showed the world how to love and what "true love" looks like!

I am speechless. And sad. It's strange. It is a stranger, but I feel like I know him so well. Celine has always been my favorite. Always. I don't remember not knowing who Celine Dion is. We all know her because of him. Thank you René Angélil. Thank you. As a Quebecer, I am so proud of what you've done for our country culturally. When you're such a die-hard Celine fan, Rene's passing is almost like losing a family member.  Celine is a part of my life, and the news is just devastating.  Celine and Rene's love was so pure, so genuine, a rarity nowadays in Hollywood where marriages come at a dime a dozen and are treated as such.  My heavy heart goes out to Celine and her boys.

It is difficult to believe René is gone. Their love story was one of a kind and their success together was amazing. My heart aches for Céline and the children and I can't imagine what they are going through at the moment. René left an enduring  legacy,

I heard the sad news while I was changing planes on my way home from Las Vegas.  It just saddens me to think of him not being there for Celine and their young boys.  He was still very vibrant with so much to give.  I bet he was giving notes after just about every show since August.  I'm so glad and lucky that I was at the last 2 shows, probably the last 2 that Rene watched and we know he loved seeing Celine on stage giving her all to the fans.  We loved him as much as Celine, I pray for her and the boys.  it's going to be so hard on them losing their dad at such young ages.
