Thursday was lipped in I surrender. The high notes were polished and perfect, very very similar to her AND playback. Not sure  if she lipped the usual bits like in AND (everything from.the start of the first chorus until "right here right now") or if she maybe sang verse 2 live, not exactly sure, but I feel quite confident the whole song wasn't live. You are right that if we are talking about consistency then what I have said has broken the celine playback rules she generally sticks too, but it wouldn't be so hard to believe considering she has done that with a few songs this show.

Example- Saturday you could hear her improvising more on I surrender than ever before. Look at the notes in particular after the high note at the bridge leading up to "right here right now" ... on Thursday those parts sounded just as they always do, polished and perfect and the same runs as on her playback. On Saturday, for the first performance ever of the song, a few of those lines sounded different. You can say that is the nature of a live performance, and maybe so...but honestly if both performances were live, both would sound similar to the 29th.. rather than one sounding exactly like what you would expect a live performance to sound like and the other sounding like the old recording.

I still think it was live. Sorry. I just listened to both and it sounds pretty live to me. It just isn't polished enough to be playback. And she definitely was alot stronger in some parts on Thursday. The opening being one of them.

It makes me mad when I think people consider that she is not trendy anymore and she is no talented. At 47 who could sing like her, just look at Mariah Carey....

Guys... If you want to scrutinize Celine's singing - whether each particular note is playback or not - it doesn't hurt to get some general idea at first how live sound mixing works. It doesn't work the way you believe, based on the comments I have read. Most of the assumptions here are wildly inaccurate. Sorry...

To who are complaining, stop complaining, Celine was excellent, remember that it no longer has the strength he had in the 90s, but still has the strength to sing, his voice changed, indeed, more remains beautiful and strong and powerful we will enjoy the show, rather than complain, she came back and it just so happy to stay, at least I'm happy about it, I wanted to be able to go watch the show, unfortunately I can not.

Over The Rainbow has to be one of the highlights for me. I hate the early version she did years ago in the 80's. Yes it was brilliant as she didn't speak English and she belted it out. But this one,wow. She has the strong vocal but now has the emotion that makes this song magical. Judy Garland at times would have tears streaming down her face when singing this in concert. Celine totally understands this song now. So strong, so soft, so subtle,so emotive. Unbelievable.

Totally agree. I cried so hard when I listened to it Friday morning. And thinking how she must be feeling right now... It makes it even harder. It made me realize how much I really love this woman. It goes beyond her music, way beyond it. She is my hero.

I love "over the rainbow" but I find her version/arrangement beautiful but, a tad depressing as the last song of the show... maybe put it somewhere else in the show in my opinion

Love the new black costume it's one of my new favourites and the stunning green one, but the white 1 could be replaced by an incredible red or purple outfit...

Still hope a few things change here and there over the next week...
That's the way it is, should be as long as the other 2 in the medley, or change the order and have I'm Alive as the middle shortest of the 3.

But the backing vocals in A new day has come are epic, and give me goosebumps, so I can only imagine what it sounds like in person.

Incredible can also be replaced by a better song from that album... Not sure whether it's Barnev or the arrangement but it's not that great.

Just my two cents from the audio and videos that I've heard and seen! Not having a go at Celine though

I don't post here a lot, but I read the forum everyday, and after listening to the bootlegs of both concerts, I want to share my opinion.
Well, I agree with some of you, saying that this is the best concert in years, speaking about setlist, Celine's voice and energy (and I'm going to make a point here, this is the Celine I want to see, full of energy, happy on stage, funny, and not the one that doesn't care at all, bored, and always with the same songs and speeches, like she used to be from a couple of year ago 'til the last show in 2014).
I really like her singing more songs live, and specially MHWGO (I never understood why she always lipped that song so much), the duets are ok, and she finally change the end of the show
Now the part that I don't like a lot is the opening, I think that I Surrender is a great ballad (one of my favourites), but not for the opening of a show. It's not that it doesn't fit, it's because is a very "hard" song to sing, and if she sings it at the begining.... well, you've just seen what happened last night... I think it was live, but although she warms up a lot before it starts, it's still too dificult for the opening.
We can discuss a lot about the songs, because every one here like different ones, but you know, she can't always please everyone, I'm just happy that at least we have some new additions, and are not the same as always.

Who's going tonight? I'm getting dropped off at Forum Shops valet, the parking will be insane. Will be in the mad crush hopefully by 6pm. Will be wearing black high neck collar, sleeveless, knee length dress. Gold chain around the collar. Do I need to bring all of the printouts from my e-ticket or is just the main page with bar code all that's needed?

Was there any pictures of Celine with RC from the premiere show? I know RC was there, but I didn't see any pics of him with his mom. I hope we get atleast 1 picture of them together.

I was there on Saturday.

My only comment is: BAHH! It's amazing. It's the first time in her Vegas show that people stand way more than that sit--they dance, sing, clap, cheer.  The entire show has a great pace. Not surprisingly, she did such a great job.  Fantastic.

I was seated near Patrick, and it seemed like throughout the show he was marking time, songs, etc. I hope they are not looking to cut things. The show only ran about 5 or 6 minutes late, but it started a couple minutes late. So, on balance, I do not think there are any truly needed cuts (but I am come from the biased perspective of loving the show exactly as it is right now).

Her mom was there on Saturday night, Patrick was in the audience (mostly watching, but also taking some notes), and Aldo was also in the audience. Michele was there, but I only saw him in the beginning when he was greeting family and then he must have gone backstage.  So, she had personal support in the audience for sure. Not to mention the crowd that cheered for virtually every song.

Great night. Amazing concert.  If you haven't seen her in Vegas yet, don't wait.  As a fan, this is the show you have been looking for.

Talking about MHWGO improvising, I particular liked the adlib she added in the bridge right before the last big chorus (right when she was being raised by the stage).  She did not do that note on the 29th though.  I get goosebumps each time I hear that note.
