I'm really surprised people aren't jumping hoops to be her manager right now!

Aparently he's "Coming soon with great news in October"...
I for one am quite curious to see what he'll do next. Might tell us how truthful they've been about the reasons for his exit. If he takes on another high-power, stressful job (which wouldn't surprise me in the least), we'll know it was all BS.
I can't help but feel there was something off about the way it all transpired, I feel there must've been more to it...

Or maybe he really did have a family issue that had to be taken care of, and now he's ready to get back to work. Just because he had a high profile job, doesn't mean that he can't have emergencies come up that require heavy attention like any other human. I don't mean to be rude, but it's really none of our business. We could all put our time to better use, instead of creating conspiracy theories as to why Aldo is no longer Celine's manager. Maybe it was a family emergency, maybe his own health. Maybe it just wasn't the right fit, and his exit was painted professionally and diplomatically as to not humiliate anyone. Why does it have to be some ridiculous scenario that would make us angry at him or Celine's team?

I always did assume it was health issues. Which would've explained everything.
But in almost any other case, I do feel he left her in a lurch (2 weeks notice?)
But yeah, I'm sure there's better things to do with my time.
Which could be said of anyone posting on this (or any) message board. But I digress.

Aldo has been with Rene for a long time and is trusted by Celine - if he wanted 3 months off, he could've taken 3 months off to sort the supposed "family problem" and come back right where he left off.
I believe Celine's vision for Celine was different to Aldo's which was more aligned to Rene's - I do not believe for one second that Rene was a Tommy Mottola-like figure in Celine's life. I do however believe that his vision for Celine was different to what we've seen from Celine herself over the last 6 months and Aldo possibly wasn't on board with all of what we've had from Celine.
Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

Like I said, maybe it just wasn't a good fit at the end of the day. But why do we need to know every detail about it? After all is said and done, if it wasn't working, they did things the right way. Out of respect to both their personal and professional relationship, Aldo left with dignity. There's no reason for there to be this scandalous situation plagued around it. That's not who Celine is or what she stands for. Even if it was a tumultuous situation, Celine and her team are smart, and know how to handle that type of scenario without bringing a dark cloud over Celine because of it. Whatever the reason for Aldo's departure, it was handled the right way as far as the public goes.

I'm not sure Celine's vision is really that much different to Rene's at all. Yeah there's the fashion stuff, but musically it's still all very familiar.
It is quite possible that Aldo just couldn't commit as much as he needed to and that the whole thing was too demanding for him. I doubt in circumstances of working with them whilst Rene was ill and then with grieving Celine after his death can have been easy either.
Plus we have to remember that he's not a young guy, most people would be retiring at his stage in life. Just cause Rene was fairly super human in his ability and drive doesn't mean that Aldo would be as enthusiastic about it. It was Rene's baby after all. Also the demands on his private life were quite different. By definition if Rene was travelling with Celine on tour he would have taken his wife and young children with him!
Whatever this new thing he has coming up is, it may well be nowhere near as demanding as the work he was doing with Celine.

Same here! I always felt like the whole "personal and familly reasons" could be BS. Like they used a fake reason to hide the truth in order to avoid being questionned by journalists.
And that's fine as it's none of our business! It was done in a professional way. There's no reason to make the reason public, unless he broke the law and/or put Celine's career in harms way. Then it would be newsworthy. Aldo didn't need to be paraded around upon departure. If there's no harm/no foul, then the professional thing to do is to be diplomatic about the situation. Most companies work this way.

That's the whole point - I've never suggested that I want there to be scandal, but given how it was handled (suddenly being very stressed with family issues or whatever) implies that there was more to the issue. When was the last time we "suddenly" had a development of this magnitude in Celine's professional life? In previous years, Aldo would've just withered away quietly.
Anyway, don't care - I think what I think.

I know she has people around her, supporting her and I am fully aware that Celine is a very smart woman, who is perfectly capable of making her own decisions. I support her getting more involved in her career and making her own choices, but this is possibly the most massive decision one can make in her line of work and possibly even the toughest career choice she is ever going to make on her own. It is pretty scary to think that she doesn't have Rene helping her and giving her advice on who to choose and trust with this very important career move.
I will really begin to worry if years start to pass and there is still know one chosen to run her career. I might get my head bitten off for this, but I believe that Celine needs a manager, especially with her level of fame and fortune. Celine's career is a finely old machine, but if not run properly, can start to have cracks and be left an open wound for people to pick at, until there's nothing left to take.
I trust that Celine and her team are fully in control and know what they're doing, but as months keep passing by without any news, I can't help but feel some doubt and questions creeping in.
I hope a decision will be made soon and that it's the best possible decision for Celine and the future of her career, because there is a lot at stake and a legacy, entertainer and children to protect for years to come.
