First-round voting is now open, wrapping Nov. 15, with the official nominees being announced during the Grammy Nominations Concert LIVE!! Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night on CBS on Dec. 6. Then, voters (12,000 members) will be sent the final ballot on Dec. 17, to be returned and accounted for on Jan. 16.

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards are slated for Feb. 8, 2015 and will be broadcast on CBS at 8/7c.

It's a very nice and interesting vocal performance, really. It's characteristic for her style of singing.

Plus , I guess whatever she sings she will always be categorized in pop. Why on earth is "overjoyed" submitted as a pop song. That's a r'n'b song.

Remember that EDM controversy a year or two ago? It seems like networking plays a large role. Sadly (though not entirely surprising, none the less disappointing. Same thing happens with the Oscars. People pay to promote their work through channels, resulting in nominations and wins. It's more of a business venture than reward. Not saying this is true every time. It's just part of the system.

This is great! Hopefully Celine will get atleast one of them. I hope she will be there in person. I want to see Celine so bad. I know we just saw pictures of her at Opportunity Village, but that was just a tease. Not enough Celine. I want more. LOL.

There is not a chance in hell she will get a Grammy nomination; let alone win one. Lol. As a matter of fact, I doubt she'll ever get another one, unless she does a traditional pop record.

 

BTW, the nominees are announced Friday.

Regardless of whether or not she's starting back in Vegas in early 2015, a one off performance at the Grammys would be a huge deal. Get that ball rolling again, perform something from LMBTL....maybe Breakaway, or DKL. One of the more modern ballads that wouldn't make it seem like she was trying too hard, but still coming across a little more current. People would really enjoy that. Reissue the album with a Sessions DVD, and bam...she's back. It's so simple...I'm not saying this to get her a big hit...just to get a buzz going about her. It's very easy marketing.

Because the LMBTL album fell within the time parameters for the upcoming Grammys.
