We maybe forget how secretive Celine can be and how she isn't a stranger to flat-out lies.

And Celine's close friends keep her secrets.  One of my friends is close friends with Robin.  And my friend never knows any Celine gossip!

What! say it isn't so, not Saint Celine yes she is good at 'bending' the truth ( I guess you would have to be after telling the same story over and over) Polished Pro!

Exactly! I don't think her keeping a secret from the band was a bad thing. I think she is a smart business woman (and sometimes people do not give her enough credit for that).  They wanted to control a story, so they told very few people.  It worked because everyone was surprised by the choice, yet there does appear to have been thought about it. Not to mention it's a choice that lets her focus on her priorities. All in all, it's consistent with her character of family first, plus it demonstrates she does actually think of the business aspect of things (as does her team). She promotes when she needs to, but keeps her options open, and controls the story (she has been very honest about controlling stories in the past, even referring to herself as her own paparazzi).
