Was this also a PLAYBOY photo shoot?   anyhow..it is great promotional move and attention is for sure guaranteed!

Interesting how some newspapers or blogs pick only the weird photos from the photoshoot and others just pick the best (like the Brazilian magazine Nando posted). That's how media play with some of the "news"...

Last night I showed the photos to my mother (she's 55 if that matters) and she said something like 'She's cool! Go Celine!'. So I don't understand why some young people here are acting like they're so shocked and disgusted... Sure, some of us like the pics and others don't. There's nothing wrong with this. And even if the pics are just PR, what's the problem? Many of us wanted Celine back at #1, well, maybe that's the way. We may like it or not but if it brings media attention, we, who wanted this attention, should be glad, right?

I can't decide what photoshoot pics i like more, The Vegas Mag pics or these one's. I love this photoshoot!
Celine looks so beautiful. I'm fine with her showing a little skin as long as she doesn't show to much.

I thought the shoot was very tastefully done and the most unique photo's we have seen of Celine in awhile. I think it was a really nice change.

Does anyone know what date these pics were taken? Do you think she did this shoot right after Vegas shows were finished. Gosh, she just get's more beautiful by the second!

I have no problem with most people here liking the photoshoot. I have never said she looked ugly or that she is not allowed to do a shoot like that if it's her choice. What I don't get is the way you people keep attacking those who don't like it. The way you believe your personal beliefs are superior to everybody else's is not cool. This so totally reminds me why I haven't wanted to be a part of a forum for such a long time. It's only the complete praising of what a certain artist chooses to do and if somebody dares to disagree they are immediately considered to be way to conservative, narrow-minded and should come into the 21st century. I don't feel welcome here, guys. It's cool if Celine gets the attention that she wants. I just don't think that's the kind of attention she needs to sell her music. Go on and hate me if you wish for expressing my totally negative opinion.

Wow ! Once, René said Celine Dion doesn't need to be sexy and to take off her clothes to sell albums, because she has THE VOICE....
So i'm surprised to see those pictures. Ok, it's fashion, so beautiful, but the one you can see her panties is very bad to me. It's ok for Britney Spears, because it's her style, but I think Celine can shock some of her audience with that.

Now, we can wait the album, I hope it won't be a huge change, to be "more Mariah Carey"... :-)

Mariann, you are not the only person that feels like that. Lately I feel like that is all I ever post about, but people still don't get it. No matter how many times you tell people that they should respect everybody's opinions (even if it is negative), they still get on your case. Believe me, I have been labelled, called names, and even dealt with horrible messages from people in the past year. I have never told somebody to get a grip when they say something positive about Celine, and I totally respect people's decision to like these pictures, so why can't they respect the nay sayers' opinions too (whatever the reason might be)? Like you said, instead words like ''narrow-minded'', and ''conservative'' are now being thrown around, and we don't even know the reason why some people don't like them. That was the point I was trying to make last night. Some people might not like the pictures because of certain believes or even because of their culture or whatever the case might be, so people should be careful of what they say, and all of a sudden, I look like the idiot of the year for just bringing it up.  

I rarely post these days for that exact same reason you mentioned, I don't feel welcome anymore. I actually don't know why I even still bother to donate. For the past few months I felt a lot like Celine was letting me down and I didn't get any enjoyment from her music (I even took a break from her), but I realized that a lot of it had to do with this forum too. I was irrated and annoyed with a lot of members here, and I was taking it out on Celine (not saying Celine doesn't have part in it too, but not getting into that discussion again). For me this would be the perfect place if I could just read the Celine news and move on, but unfortunately most of the time, we have to read through all the crap and arguments in the topics to get to the news, and by the time you get there, you are so worked up, you can't enjoy it.

Totally agree with you too that it is very cool that Celine is getting a lot of attention, and that she enjoyed it, but for me it is just ridiculous. Celine is not a fashion model, she is a singer. Instead they should have focussed the energy they wasted to shoot these pics on her music, and came up with a shocker album, but no, she recorded a gazillion covers. Where is the surprise in that? How is that artistic?
