When i first saw the shoot i was shocked but actually she looks pretty darn amazing! I was a bit worried about where shots like these could lead cause of the whole Madonna risque, flashing boob, waving AK47s on stage incident, but after watching the making of video, I totally see Celine again. She was having a really fun day. Stepping out of her usual persona and as she said 'i'm like this in my real life'. We know she's a clown and she has obviously reached a stage in her life where she's comfortable enough in her body to do a high fashion shoot like this. Yeah she's topless but she shows nothing and one thing i think is very important is that she's smiling. It stops the photo being provocative which i'm sure she didn't want. And hey, if she can't do a shoot like that at 44 looking as amazing as she does then when can she?!?

I love the idea of a photoshoot like this but the execution wasn't the best. I don't really care for most of them, some of the poses could have been better and the wig she is wearing doesn't make her look very pretty. I think with better styling they could have got more from this shoot.

   Yeah, ok, have to give you that one Thomas. They could've kept that one for Rene's "private" collection. But it's very Celine inspired i.m.o. I'd say she loves it herself.

I love the complete shoot. But you are right, this photograph's not the best one. Apart from that, they revised somehow the "Taking Chances"-Foto. Pity!

That is exactly how I feel about the shoot. I have nothing against taking daring pictures or showing a bit of skin. But I mean, pants with soft toys on them? It screams Lady Gaga, who has to rely on idiotic gimics to sell her music. The same for the naked picture. It screams Madonna and Mariah. Like you said, Celine does not need that. It comes across as desperate. The same for Celine covering ''Rolling in the Deep''. It just seems desperate.

I also agree that this is surely an attempt to get people talking about Celine just before they release the new albums, but this shoot does not fit with the concept of the album (like I said before). It just feels out of place for me.

Anyway, they definitely succeeded in getting people talking about her.

Btw, some of you people seriously need to be a more considerate of others here. This is a world wide forum and of course there will be loads of different cultures and believes, so when some people feel that it is inappropriate because of their believes/cultures and what not, who the hell are you to say that they should wake up. This could be a touchy thing for others, so just saying...

These pictures are very sexy and beautiful and there is difference between sexy and gross/slut/rude.
I like them a lot! Its not usual Celine does these kind of photos but its not the first time. Recently she recorded that video that was showed in TC World Tour....
I didnt like only one photo, this one with bears, totally ridiculous and there was nothing to do with the context.

In the Brazillian midia these pictures are spreading now and they are saying that Celine is sexy and she has an amazing body.

Claudette, I do respect you're views on this forum, but I don't agree with you on that point. Celine isn't a Muslim or a born again Christian or a member of the Amish community (as far as I'm aware). I don't see why people should object in any way to how SHE decides to be photographed. Of course everyone has their own sets of values and morales and what not. But these photos are so tame in this day and age, I can't relate to anyone who finds them offensive to their own values and have no problem personally in stating that. If people expect Celine to be like some kind of nun singing about her love for humanity then they should start listening to Susan Boyle (or wait for the climb every mountain single). Untill then, they should learn to accept Celine for who she is and how she chooses to show herself to the world. She's not being untrue to herself as a person, or to her family, so they should stop being so holy-er than thou about a few teddy bears sewn onto a pair of trousers.

I totally agree with you John that it is Celine being photographed, and yes she is not a muslim or whatever, but that does not mean that the people who are from those cultures are not allowed to not like these pictures. I'm just saying that people should respect those people's opinions/believes too, that is all. Some people here are getting on the cases of the nay sayers again. Like always. So once again it comes down to this thing where people cannot respect others' opinion when it is a nay.

And Thomas is right. The white-suit thing photo is the worst photograph I have ever seen of anyone. I don't know if they were blind or sth. The rest is fine. I really enjoy the shoots where she is lying on the tree

? freedom of speech goes both ways.  many of those cultures you're talking about oppress and constrict women.  cultural sensitivity is important but you can't just use cultural differences as a justification for every situation.  besides if they don't like it no one's forcing them to ogle at the pics   they can just leave

I'm sad some fans are not happy with these photos here. Just give her a chance guys, it's just ONE photoshoot out of cents in her whole career. She may not pose again like this in her career, so I would suggest you to enjoy them

Personally, I'm still shocked. This photoshoot made not my day, but the whole 3 years since the TCWT finished I'm excited and proud of Céline beyond words. She hasn't offended anyone for showing more of her skin than usual, right?

This photoshoot (to me) is AMAZING. Is the best photoshoot she has done since ANDHC & One Heart to me. That's 10 years ago!. But the album's direction... that's not so surprising

That said, nobody has told yet that this is the album's photoshoot (wish it was), but if she's attracting attention everywhere with these photos and then people wants to listen the new songs that are coming, I'm very afraid their faces are going to be like a big    HUH??? It's going to be confusing, to say the least. Because the music is not going to match the image she's giving. The Vegas (boring) show does not match with these beautiful pictures at all.

I wish we were waiting for a full, brand new album today. This photoshoot would be just a small part of a more huge, bigger excitement

No no I agree with Claudette. Just because some members here, or a lot of members, praise these photo's doesn't mean everyone is thinking the same. When you are from a different culture it can be a pretty daring shoot to them. I agree that, in some of the pics,  it comes a bit over as desperate too. this whole culture argument is so irrelevant

not liking a certain photoshoot because of your personal beliefs/culture is your prerogative, no one can take away your right to an opinion. it doesn't become an issue of cultural intolerance until you make it one.  no one here was attacking anyone's culture or personal beliefs, you guys are the ones who brought up culture to begin with.  you could have easily left it at "i don't like it", the end.  by making a marked comment about your disapproval being tied to your culture/beliefs, you're making it about culture when it never was

I couldn't have said it better myself.  I feel like people are constantly complaining about how monotonous Céline has gotten, "she's a lipsynching robot, she doesn't have any passion for singing anymore, all she cares about is the money."  She finally sends us something out of left field that knocks our socks off and you're complaining? My god, there is absolutely no nudity here, she is completely covered up, can I remind you of a certain "dress" shall we call it she wore to the Grammy's back in 1993.... Hello! We've seen her boobs before!



Céline's true fans know that she is a kooky, fun-loving, hilarious woman, but she hardly EVER shows it in mainstream media! IMO this is the best thing she has done in the past 10 years.  I didn't think I could love her anymore than I did, but after this photoshoot my love for her has quadrupled.  

She's still a classy lady, she isn't out partying every weekend getting wasted, doing coke... She's a fantastic mother, a phenomenal performer, and number one in my book.  

Please go read an issue of Vogue, Marie Claire, or Glamour.  This isn't raunchy, skanky porn--this is FASHION and it is BEAUTIFUL!     

She clearly had a great time doing this shoot and whatever makes Céline happy makes me happy! I'm so proud of her for showing people that you can have some fun with an editorial fashion shoot and still maintain a high level of class.

You better believe that if I look as good as she does in 20 years I'll be hiring a photographer to do the exact same thing!

(PS... couldn't agree more on that white jacket photo... it looks like a cheap "glamour shot".... not a fan.  Her body is just so awkward... But I LOVE the hair, she needed the wig because she didn't want to cut her bangs, and it is nearly impossible to achieve that blunt of a bang without a scissors.... I think it's fantastic!)
