Yes, I suppose she could have tried to do a whole bunch of lesser-known songs from her catalogue, but that only would've worked for the die hard fans, and so it wouldn't have been commercially viable (which is really important for a show of this scale).

Or, she could've rehashed AND or the TCWT again, but I think that would have been a disaster for the fans. I already saw both of those shows, I bought the DVDs, and I've watched them many times since. I've had my fill, and I would not travel back to Vegas for a rehash. Frankly, TCWT already felt a bit like part two of AND, so I think it's brilliant to try and do something completely different. I do not need to hear IA or IDAN again for a long, long time.

I can't wait to see Celine do things she's never done before, like scat her way through an Ella song, slink her way through Diamonds are Forever, and carry a simple, stripped-down song like At Seventeen with sincerity, subtlety and emotional depth. And it will all work for both fans and non-fans, since many of the songs will be familiar, but hearing Celine do them with be something new.

Finally, the lighting and costumes look wonderful! Elegant and sexy, so appropriate for the content, and totally eye-popping. When they add in the secret special effects, the results could be incredible. Nothing about this show seems cheap to me. It looks like they're going all out, and I think they deserve credit for it.

For me, the only minor disappointments are LCMM and RDMH. Those feel like legacy of AND and TCWT (even though they've been around for many years before that), and if it were up to me, I would replace them with one or two other uptempo choices. Unison (the single mix) would be great, and would have been keeping with the theme of older songs that we haven't heard much of lately. JALBOL or OH could have been good choices, too. Anyhow, it's a minor quibble. I really do hope they don't end up dropping DOL, though.

Just as reminder to anyone attending the new show in vegas, Barnev, her back-up vocal singer said "Decalaration Of Love" has the potential to be cut out of the show unless US fans SCREAM he said, show production we like what we see or they will cut it! SO EVERYONE that wants "Declaration of Love" SCREAM, and DANCE and CLAP and show them that we want this IN THE SHOW!

in regards to the water screen -

when i went to the Jonas Brothers world tour summer 2009 they had a water screen....not only did they project colors and stuff on it, but the water actually fell in patterns and shapes.  (words, hearts, symbols, Jonas Brother logo, etc)  another really cool technology ive seen done live with water!

don't know if that necessarily fits for the new show, but still cool since we're talking about water screen technology for the new show.  (hoepfully!)

I was lucky enough to get tickets for Celine's thursday night performance. All I can say is the show is Amazing!!!. Hearing her sing Why Does My Heart Beat Now and The Reason was amazing. Here are some pictures i took from the show..

Im sad...

My mom is going to vegas at the end of the month and she is a HUGE celine fan(saw AND 4 times).... Anyways we heard "open arms" on our way home tonight and I told her she opens the show with that song and she said she really, really want to see her when she goes to Vegas but $250 is out of her budget. I told her they had some for $95 and she got so excited and told me to book her one. I was telling her about the show and the songs she sings all the way home. She then got so excited and called her friends that are going with her to vegas and asked them if they wanted to go and they all said yes.So i searched for tickets and there were some available and she was ecstatic I was about to book them until she reviewed it and noticed it was the wrong date... So i checked the April 1 & 2 show and there were none available ... She was so happy and now I can tell shes disappointed... I feel awful! I hope more tickets pop up closer to the date.

The Whole look is better, the hair, the wardrobe the stage....etc.

In AND she first made the biggest mistake of cutting her hair, because remember how Celine looked right before she did it, it was at her sexiest time in my opinion right before she cut her hair  she looked like this...



then like this over night...


finally a show that will showcase her voice and her wardrobe and not look like she is in the Circus... im sorry but until the final year of AND she looked terrible, RDMH brought her sexiness back and that continued on the world tour and now in vegas again...
All in all great choices on looks even tho im not a huge fan of the James Bond dress.
