That's what I call a performance! She sounded perfect, very classy and elegant. And the dress was just amazing, my favorite was the one she had for the red carpet though. Love spotting her in the audience after too, I'm like jumping when I see her left shoulder on camera.

So glad I'm not on Twitter I couldn't stand to hear one nasty anti-Celine comment.
Think of it this way, guys, as a blind person I do not have a choice ai only get to hear her. In my 27 years of being here I have never wanted to see because wow, what an adjustment but she is the one thing I feel i am missing out on you are all so lucky that for even ten secs you got to see her, if it weren't for people here I still wouldn't know what she looks like...But she sounded so freaking awesome.
This was so much fun getting together, like a virtual Oscar party on the forums tonight. Sweet dreams to all who have left us to go to sleep/work, thank you for your fun contributions. . I have three favorite quotes,

On the live show, there were actually claps after the performance. My friend said they use clap effects on the rehearsals and live events. They might have mixed that on a different sound channel so you don't hear it unless you 5.1 sound.

They didn't show her in the end of the rehearsal though. I feel they even showed more of her during the actual show.

I really couldn't be happier.  Everything went just the way it needed to.  

She gains "cool" points with younger audiences -- because they are going to talk highly of her on the Fashion Police tomorrow (they've already complimented her).  And we KNOW Joan Rivers loves her.  So that will be interesting to watch.

She gains "classic" points because her performance was timeless, breathtaking, and vocally stunning.  

And she's made all of us fans happy too - because, even though we know she hated it, she did a couple of interview on the Red Carpet.  And surprised us with honoring birthdays with the American Cancer Society commercial.  We got a taste of what she's going to sound like with the orchestra in Vegas.  And she just looked and sounded perfect.  

I have never expected Celine to be one of the best dressed and most talked about.  I think that mentality stems from her not being known for her looks.  Her name represents vocal talent, not beauty (and I don't mean that disrespectfully).  But we are all Celine Dion fans because of her voice.  But tonight she genuinely was one of the best dressed people on the red carpet!

I really believe this is the best vocal performance I've heard from her in a long time.  As people have mentioned, her voice was warm and that impeccable tone was there.  That's what frustrates me from time to time with recent performances -- she doesn't belt and that incredible tone she's famous for has been lacking.  But tonight it was back.  

Tonight I'm even more honored to be a Celine Dion fan.  And it makes me feel good to have stood behind her for so long...

Ok I'm sorry but I have to say this, I know a lot of people thought her comment about wearing "wal mart" was funny but I thought it came off as a little rude, before the red carpet coverage even started it was scrolling on the bottom of E that she was wearing Armani. Couldn't she have just declined to answer the question on the carpet if she didn't want to answer? Someone either her team or who ever styled her told E who she was wearing already. So she could have just said they'd already said. The wal mart answer to me just came off as a bit rude...now before I get jumped all over I have no idea the way her answer was said if it was said as a joke or if she was like irritated when she answered and was mad about being asked. If it was meant as a joke that's fine, I just personally thought it sounded a tad rude or maybe sarcastic is a better word. That's just my opinion and maybe I'm the only one it sounded rude to.
