This is something completely different than what was done at The Grammys.  This is for an "In Memorandum" performance.  It's much more subdued and to some a very sad moment.  It's to honor those who have passed on.  She is doing the respectful and right thing by not going out in jeans and Uggs.  The Michael Jackson tribute was more fun and hip because that's the type of music he produced (for the most part).  Jeans were okay in that regard.  This is The Oscars, not The Grammy's.   :doh:

I can't wait unitl tonight and I want to wish good luck to Céline of course but also to two Québécois who have nominations tonight: Denis Villeneuve for Incendies (Best movie in an other language) and Adrien Morot (he's the one who did the make-up and all in many amazing movies and he's nominaed for his work in Barney's version). I can't wait to see Céline and what's she's going to be wearing. I'm sure she's going to be fabulous!

Scott is getting ready to work on Celine... :)

And I think she will do the red carpet, as shes part of the show and she has the new show to plug, even though she hates red carpets as we know.

Also I think she will wear an Alexander Mc Queen creation, and a dress from the new show but in a slightly different style/colour :)

Can't wait to see her perform as this is another '' not to miss Celine moment ''.

I also think she'll make a brief appearance to Elton's after party.

I personally don't think it's a big deal to walk the carpet :shrug: I can't remember exactly why she doesn't want to do it but isn't it something to do with not wanting to be asked who she's wearing because she doesn't want people to think she doesn't buy the dresses? or something? I can't remember.

I think it had something to do with the air.. the cold/humidity or whatever it was... wanting to "preserve" her voice since she'll perform
