Thats the way it is, is my fav Celine song ever, and I'd love to hear it live, but from previous ''live performances'' I dunno whether its the arrangement or what, but its so bad live, its very disappointing for me, just like shadow of love also... so unless they do a new version or fix up to perform it live, I think they should open the show with Then you look at me...

I think that the opening number should be rather a new song and not a cover... It should be very powerful....

I was thinking the same about TTWII.. we would all love to see that be the opener but I know we would be disappointed because of lipping and what not.. but I would really love to see it performed live like perfectly

I also would die if I saw declaration of love. I was watching the live in memphis show and was so pissed that I was so young during that tour.  

anyways I voted TTWII & LTAL AND a new song from a new album would always work too

I answered MHWGO, because we all know it Will be performed at the new show and I think It Will be cool if she sings that song at the beggining of the show instead

But It Will be great if she start with her new single from her next album for exemple

Yeah I know, but they can take advantage of the Vegas stage and make an IDAN opening really special.


But I agree with you, we need a completely new setlist. Just a few hits in an acoustic medley, and far more rare songs!

This isn't my only choice, but Dans Un Autre Monde would be great! It's a nice upbeat intro and it would be great to have her sing more French songs along with Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore!

That could be pretty cool.  I never thought of that song as an "opener", but I think it could definitely work if done correctly.  Great idea!

well i think the show opening number need to consider on the whole show and not just like random songs that many of you said, i do like many songs suggested but i can't see it as the show opening number...
for AND Nature boy wasn't that good but ANDHC was perfect so it really depends on the whole show, so since there will be movie tribute or so maybe a famous movie song would be nice either her own or others

I still think Declaration of Love would be an amazing opening. The music would fit the orchestra perfectly and it would be a fun and lively start to the show.

I still think TYLAM would make a perfect opening song, starts off slowly, builds to a crescendo and would showcase the orchestra perfectly. As long as it's not IDAN because that has been done successfully already on the tour. And she won't have driven all night, cos she'll be living in Vegas. Also as John said,  a well known movie cover we havenyf heard from Celine may also set the tone of the show. Depends what the final concept is going to be.

Oh and actually you can make that two for I Knew I Loved you. Are you people crazy? That's a perfectly beautiful piece of music. Gorgeous orchestrations. And certainly not boring.

While I think the song's been overdone..... "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" would be quite the adrenaline push as an opener. It has a great intro (which the orchestra can play, accompanied by light effects) and I can already see the spots suddenly shining on Céline when she sings the opening line of the song... After a few lines/for the chorus she can start walking to the friend and blow us away!

it'd be great for her to open with MHWGO.  It's the biggest english song from one of the biggest movies of all time and just imagine the introduction... a big curtain covering the stage then the lights go dark and the intro music starts and they show clips from her career, AND, tour, etc then she rises up onto a fog filled stage then during the 2nd verse the orchestra appears (lighting) and then of course the 3rd verse is huge with Celine busting it out and the orchestra doing their thing.  Then immediately after MHWGO she can go into IACBTMN.. I liked it during a AND when she closed with "wonderful world" because it wasn't ending with the titanic song.. and it would great to hear her do somewhere over the rainbow as a closing song..

I think opening the show with My Heart Will Go On would be a bold choice -- but I'm not sure it would be the best idea.  I would rather see this song coming somewhere closer to the second half of the show.  It should NOT end the show.  I loved how A New Day… ended with What a Wonderful World.  That was brilliant.  And then they took it away, which I felt was a bad decision.

I would like the new show to open and end with new songs.  New songs for Celine -- but they could possibly be standards that we're all familiar with.
