I have read in a number of places Avatar glasses won't work. I picked mine up from Target, and they are just the old cardboard red and blue. Different techniques of filming require you to use certain glasses so I think just a red film and blue film will make the movie 3D.

I just called Imax, unfortunately she said the same thing! (i'm searching for those red n bleu 3D glasses here in Qc, can't find any)
Thing is, we don't have Target in Canada.
I guess the grammy didn't think that canadians were going to watch their canadian artist Celine performing this week-end.

Thanks for the heads up... I'll have to dig out and dust off my old pair of 3d glasses then

I know it seems like a lot of work, but a lot of craft stores have plastic sheets. Anything that is transparent that is red and blue should be fine, at least I am pretty sure thats what we learned in physics. Just red has to be on left eye, and blue on the right eye.

You might even be able to take some saran wrap, or some clear packaging tape and color it with markers and then just hold it over each eye. Just tested mine from Target on Youtube, and they work OK, but I am sure the movie will be just as nice without being in 3D.
