Anyway, for those keeping score:

Beyonce now has 16 Grammy Awards. She's now 3rd all-time. Celine, Whitney, Mariah and Madonna have fewer than 10 each and to think these women are real legends. :o

I say good for her but....
To me those trophys (Grammys) don't have the same value they used to have imo. I think they give those away too easily these days to everybody and anybody who's considered "hot"....  Many artists (great ones) didn't won many or even any and had brilliant carreers. For instance Elvis has won only the same number than Céline in his lifetime I think and Elton John received his first Grammy Award as an artist(since 1970) only in 1995 I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).  Of course, it's part of the business but numbers, figures and Grammys don't always say it all. :whistling:  I think there is also a lot of politics involved here.  Anyways that's how I feel about those trophys.  I guess it's great to win some but again it doesn't tell the whole story about an artist.  Céline may have won only 5 Grammys but she has been awarded more than 1000 trophys or honors throughout the world.

I've listened to both performances many times now.  For me Céline's solo parts were better on Grammy night and those "what about us...what about it...chorus parts" we could hear her a lot better during the rehearsals(before the back vocals were turn on louder for Grammy night unfortunately). :angry2:

Lou555 : I couldnt of said it better myself! you are so right! grammys dont have the same meaning they used to . i dont get it anymore

HI guys!!!!  :kicking:
Sorry i'm just too exited that Bellamy approved my new topic on the multimedia section.
This is why i'm posting this....I've been working on the Earth Song for the past few days (not 48, hours but you what i mean :P )

I know some have complained about Usher's and some about Carrie's performance. (I know I did loll) So i edited the song from the Grammys so that Usher and Carrie are no longer singning and Celine is singing MORE!!! LOL

And you can listen to the result here:

Has anyone else ever noticed that Celine always uses the same microphone?  Even here...the rest of the group has the same mic...but she still has her's.  A little diva-side showing with her mic-picky self?   :D

She always uses wired microphone till late 90's, while all other singers already use wireless microphones.

Is it unusual for an artist to request to use their own mic at an event like the Grammys?  I don't know these things :P

I'm not saying she's being divaish. But she likes her own microphone obviously. For example, everyone on Divas Live 1998 used wireless microphones, Celine is the only one used a wired microphone. Same thing happened during many 90's events.

I wish the producers didn't turn off the artists' mics during the ahhaaahaaaa and what about us segments cause celine's voice in the rehearsals was above all others!
by the way she was copying MJ's voice in the rehearsals and i wish she did that in the actual concert :-)

Side note...I don't know if these were posted anywhere (maybe if not it should be a new thread, not sure how that goes) but the pictures Celine took with Gaga at the Grammys:
