and share her feelings with thousands of other people. She want to mourn in private.
I also read Michael will be buried 2 hours before the memorial..to bury him without the media hysteria and mourn in private.
From what I have read so far I don't think Celine will be there today and if she will be there..she certainly is not going to sing.
Maybe she will perform in a live tribute later this year..who knows..

The best reaction is from Elizabeth Taylor who said she doesn't want to be part of this public hoopla!!! I totally agree with her, this should not be a circus for fake Hollywood people to go "cry" and show how "sad" they are that MJ has died... And isn't that interesting that Mariah will be there (while she happens to have something new to promote)!!??
And I hope Celine won't be there for that same reason.

I'll be watching the memorial in a few hours - its on BBC2, C5, and Sky Arts 1 for everyone in the UK.
YEEEAAAAHHHHH for little Shaheen - hope he outshines every other act there (except MJ obviously!!), and especially MC!!

I agree with you. I think that it is just ridiculous that the world took something sad like this and turned it into a spectacle. I bet most of these celebrities that are going to be there didn't even care for MJ... They are there to catch some shine... You are right, it is a circus. So yeah, I think it is better for Celine to watch this on her TV like the rest of the world.

I think that it should have just been his actual true friends, like Elizabeth, his family, and the few select other people he had as friends. I know Elizabeth won't be there and I don't blame her, she was so close to him it would be to emotional for her.

Couldn't have said it better. Its a circus, its just for celebs who claim to be "friends" with Michael to get attention. This memorial should be about his fans not what celebs are attending. I was flipping through the channels here trying to find something to watch, this memorial is being shown on no fewer than SIX channels, I think that is a bit much. One or two channels I think would have been fine, did they really need to take over every news channel? There is other news happening in this world besides Michael's death/funeral/memorial.
You know I don't think I heard anything from Brooke Sheilds, wasn't she close to Michael? I've saw photo's of them when he was younger. Did she make a statement or anything about his death?

Brooke Shields was reported to have accepted her invitation so she's probably there somewhere. Not sure if she'll be speaking etc. Yeah, her and Michael dated in the early 90's.
Stevie's on at the mo.
Agree about MC - awful at the beginning and end especially.

Yes but if Celne did attend she certainly would not be going for the reasons you said about (as we all know!) so that wouldnt matter. She would be going to show her support but I doubt she will go.
