My bets are on no, she won't be there. I think she might wait for the O2 tribute, but then again, I don't know anything haha   She could and hopefully will be pregnant with a lil baby then. If she is there tomorrow, I will be pleasantly surprised Aaaaaand really sad I didn't register for the chance to win tickets   But then again, the last thing they need at MJs memorial service is a little redhead dancing screaming "Céline!!!! Drove All  night!!!" waving her arms frantically. I'll just do it from my living room, if she's there.

According to the site that 1st broke this story and has covered it ever since, has just said the Jackson family just announced the acts who will take part in the memorial tomorrow, and Celine wasn't mentioned....

Hehe, I get excited when Celine makes appearances, when my sister yelled, Celine Dion is on The Nanny I leaped from my chair and ran to the TV and I remembered that I set the DVR to record the show every night, so I was able to rewind it and watch that part even though I've seen it online... I love surprise appearances... But I know im impatient but I will wait just like everyone else...

He's a very big name in television.

I will just DIE if she busts out of nowhere at the memorial in full on "Bad" regalia like she did before.   Wouldn't that be great? sighhhhh... Ah well, it will be a good service no matter if she's there or not, I know we all want to see her.  I would rather her rest though, she did make all those calls right after he died.  I think it would be a good gesture for her to go, but there are lots of other major celebrities not going, too so I can understand. Maybe she will just stay at home and watch it on TV like everyone else In her frog pajamas. Or her "Bad" outfit

i cant say if jennifer hudson ever had the chance to meet michael. so this "friend" thing...its not 100% the case...but america learned to watch her in pain.

i guess celine had more contact with him in her history than jennifer.

Michael was a showbusiness idol for Céline since she's very young, an inspiration to go into showbusiness.  I believe she feels he was one of the best performer out there ever and she felt for him watching how difficult a normal life was out of reach for him.  Also that the price to pay for being in showbusiness was huge for him and that he probably never had a normal life with all that pressure he experienced since he was 5.  She worked with him and meet him a few times and he went to see her show in Vegas some years ago and went backstage and talked for an hour or so.  I believe that's it.  She wasn't close to Michael or anything and he's not exactly a friend either.  But then I don't think he had that many friends especially these past years even though these days a lot of people want to be there I guess for numerous reasons I won't go into, some better then others shall we say.

If she attends it will be a big surprise to me, I really don't think Céline will go. I expect they'll watch this from their home like the rest of us. Anyway we'll get the final answer tomorrow.

As for the producer for this Ken E., Céline has worked with this guy many many times on many specials of hers and events she attended through the years as Sophan has already said.  I guess Céline and René have known Ken Ehrlich very well and for a long long time now.  I've read his name often over the year as a producer of Céline's specials or for the Grammy Awards.  I even think he was the producer when Céline sang at the Atlanta Olympics back then.

I would think the odds would be higher for us to see Céline being part of a tribute to Michael of some kind later on.  We'll see!

The producer of the memorial said that its going to be pretty low key because its just going to be a memorial and that`s it. People will speak about him, and sing a few songs but its not going to be a concert.
There may be a concert in the future so maybe she`ll be there for that.

I think it's a good thing that she's not attending. MJ was a public figure, but for celebrities to attend at his funeral that isn't close friends is really tacky. She has sent her condolences to the family and I think that was appropriate.

ok. i think the question is asking about the Memorial service at the Staples Center tomorrow, not the private family service also planned for tomorrow. My thoughts: as much as i'd LOVE to see Celine, i don't think she'll be there. however, if she is there, i'll be dancing around my living room!

I agree, I don't think she was close to him in the way people think. I also don't think he had many friends and I wouldn't include his doctors or staff or bodyguards.
