Loving the new songs I've heard so far

"Stay" is definately the most catchy one! And while I first thought "Catch Me When I Fall" was meh... it already grew on me, as it's a perfect song for these rainy days...

It seems that on itunes you can preview all the songs. BBC Radio 2 is premiering a new song every day.

The Corrs News is posting teasers, there are now previews on iTunes and BBC Radio 2 have premiered some tracks as "White Light" has been album of the week!

I have seen the first mini interview they posted on facebook where Sharon is speaking... And the song in the background   Much better than Bring on the night though...

I bought the album in HMV this morning!

I absolutely love it, the songs are so good and it's such a coherent piece of work. I hope the promotion will be enough to see it reach the top 5 in the UK album charts faced with all the competition at the moment...

I agree!!! Hope to see it chart also here in Italy. Their albums did pretty well in the charts.

Ellis island is such a great songs. It sounds like it could be a musical piece (such as seasons of love - rent).
Unconditional it's such a jump back to the 80s. (Its the "unfinished songs" of this album. Love it.)
Kiss Of Life it's so sweet, a great ballad as Strange Romance is. (This last one reminds me of "I'll remember" by madonna. So it's a typical 90s ballad. Couldn't be better).
Bring on the night is amazing.

Need to listen to the other tracks again.

Sigh... I just LOVE the album There's something for everyone, while maintaining it's cohesiveness..

I agree. They have definitely not lost their touch, in fact I'd say this is better than Borrowed Heaven. I think the music has a richer and fuller sound.  It reminds me of In Blue, yet the amazing harmonies remind me of some of their earliest work.

They should write songs for Celine!

The Corrs + Celine = great idea. (Their path crossed in the past... they were opening act at her concerts in Ireland if I'm not wrong. And Andrea played the flute on mhwgo during the Pavarotti and friends)

This album is better than In Blue but there are some great songs on Borrowed Heaven that can't be forgotten. It's definitely better than the second half of BH.

Yes, that's it exactly! BH was a bit of a (production) mess IMO and the production style didn't really fit them. Plus a song like 'Time Enough For Tears' just didn't belong on that album.

If The Corrs would write for Céline. And if Shania would too. And Céline herself too.. I can die happily

In fact they opened for her during her European tour in 1995/1996 (with an odd date in '97 & '99) and select parts of the US. How I could've missed that was beyond me (well I was a bit on the young side lol)..

It's a shame this album missed out on the Top 10 in the UK. It's currently at #11.  

It's also only #10 in Ireland, meaning it's their first album not to be #1 there

What about promotion in the UK and Ireland? In Poland there is no promotion AT ALL. The song is not even on the radio which is surprising as they have also been popular here.

It's hard to come back after such a long time but I think they should promote it more...

There has been promotion in the UK, they have performed on a few TV shows and on the radio. Obviously with Adele they won't get #1, but I'm really disappointed they didn't make the top 10, I was hoping they'd make the top 5

It will probably happen when the album gets its release in German-speaking countries in Feb '15. They've only limited promo to UK/Ireland/France at the moment..

They should've gotten a chance to perform at Strictly and/or X-Factor in the UK, but alas...

Dunno... The album is out in Poland and I haven't seen any promotion yet (TV, radio nor even the Internet!). I only know that the album is out because I saw it in MediaMarkt the other day

But it also applies to other countries besides those which I names.... no promo at all (yet). But I think they're doing it one step at a time...kinda like Sharon did for her 2nd solo album. Release dates in other areas of the world also still have to be announced (Australia, North America)..

They were on Ireland's 'The Late Late Show' and besides being interviewed and performing 'Bring On The Night', they also performed an old hit acoustically...



So happy they're back !!
