sorry but I can't stand her. My best friend thinks she like the best thing that's ever happened. If you ask me she's just annoying teenager that sings about the dozen and five boyfriends that have broken up with her. All I ever hear from her is her whining about whatever jonas brother that broke up with her. She acts like she'll never have another boyfriend, get a grip your what eighteen? its not like you'll never have another boyfriend. I can't stand her music, my friend tried to get me to pay to go see her in concert this summer I was like no way. :vomit:

Why is that so bad? She's a teenage girl excited about her CD doing so well. Give her a break already. She's much nicer and honest than any other teen star, and at least she writes all her own material and is a good person. Also, she doesn't always "whine". She just chooses to be very open about her personal life and not hide things, which I find to be a very brave thing. And not all of her songs are about bad boyfriends. Maybe listen to her albums instead of making untrue comments like that.

Also, if you're only gonna hate on her, just leave the topic. What are you trying to do, raise your post count?

hey the question at the start of the post was do you like her or think she's overrated, I think she's overrated. I was just answering the question. I've saw other singers posts and people complain they don't like them. I just don't like her music, I've heard it and I don't like it. I'm not really into her type of music.

Other people doing it doesn't make it right. I think it's pointless to go into another person's topic and hate. And you said it with such rudeness that it was infuriating. I mean, come on, a teenage girl buying her own CD is not such a disgusting thing. Seriously. If you're gonna express your dislike for her, don't do it in such a nasty, demeaning way.

19 year old stops Michael Jackson from achieving iTunes chart history

This past weekend, Michael Jackson dominated the iTunes charts as fans downloaded his singles, albums and music videos to celebrate his life and mourn his death. Twitter, Facebook and Myspace updates were flooded with people listening to some of their favorite Michael Jackson songs or watching some of his music videos. Having the top twenty-five charted songs would have been a first in iTunes history, but it didn’t happen for Michael Jackson. On the music video charts, all but one song in the top twenty-five charted videos belonged to Jackson. Who had the power to keep even the King of Pop from reaching this unbeatable achievement? A nineteen year old country singer/songwriter from Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Taylor Swift, who has dominated the music charts in both the country and pop genre's is no stranger to iTunes or Billboard success. Swift has been a nonstop presence on the charts since the release of her first single "Tim McGraw" back in 2006. Taylor Swift released her video for her latest single "You Belong With Me" almost two months ago and it has been hanging around the top of the iTunes music video charts ever since. While Jackson wasn't able to beat out Swift on this one, Billboard.com reported that while Jackson and Swift dominated the internet radio plays, Jackson's internet radio plays surpassed Swift's by more than six percent.

Taylor's a really sweet, down to earth kind of girl I don't understand all the negativity posted above.  It's one thing to not like someone's music, you don't have to listen to it, of course.  There have been a lot of artists I respect and acknowledge to having talent that I might not necessarily pop into my CD player every day. But that doesn't mean I can't give them props for having that talent   Taylor is a lot like Céline in many way, so I can't see how you can admire Céline and not admire the accomplishments of Taylor, too. They both started young and have a God-given talent, both are very down to earth and care very much about their fans, they both get involved with charities and the community, they both really love what they do and that is what keeps them going to do it, they aren't jaded by fame, they both really have no idea how popular they are lol...could go on and on. Taylor writes her own songs, which is an immense talent, especially for one so young. She writes with sincerity and maturity beyond her young years.  

I mean if you don't like country music that's one thing I live in Nashville so it's kinda impossible for me not to like it. But I don't like all country artists. Taylor has talent though, and her songs are fun and easy to listen to.  Now, she's no Céline Dion, but I do like her
