The high quality is awesome!  I'm completely digging this song!  I love the way she sings it and I love the way her voice sounds.  She has some nuances in it that make me melt!  Anyone know how to get audio from youtube?

Is it exactly the same version as you heard at the listening party in the Colosseum? Or did they tweak the song [a bit]?
As I remember you didn't really like it when you heard at back then (and now you do)....

Honestly, it's been too long to remember any minor detail!  I do remember not liking it very much, but I said the exact thing about My Love, and when that finally came out, it instantly became one of my favorite Celine songs!  Some of her songs take me several listens to fully appreciate

hm, little bored by it honestly, and the music and lyrics come across as cheesy to me, but like people said her voice makes it interesting. But not an interesting enough new song to motivate me to buy the album..

I really am much more impressed now I've heard the HQ version. The lyrics are bordering on too cheesey and I'm very aware of the drums- but the last minute is just amazing- I like it alot.

Yes the song is a grower and it's always good to hear it in HQ but it's still nothing more than a standard album track. It just doesn't grab you immediately. I remember hearing "A New Day Has Come" or even "I Drove All Night" for the first time and they both just immediately grabbed you and you wanted to listen to them again and again. You just dont get that with "There Comes A Time."

yeh i agree- its a standard album track and i think it would have fit much better on taking chances as a bonus or even hidden track - not just slapped weirdly on my love but hey at least we got to hear it. I also ama fan of the last minute and the start.

I dont mind the drums it would be eeeeven blander without them.

It isn't much of a track I know, but still it has something. The sound... the beginning is very promising, it kind of gets ruined when "there comes a time..." kicks in. It needs a lot of things, perhaps 1 % of the overproduction MTMH got, and what ever happened to good lyrics?? She recieves how many thousand songs a year and none of them are profound nor deep???

It still has something... something. It is repeatative and bland and never lifts up, just like Catch Me Cause I'm Falling.... uhm sorry TRIGO. But still it is a bit better than TRIGO.

I would like to have seen Let Me Be Your Soldier (no matter what they call it that is the song title it's too obvios, the title change is just ridiculous) along with Map To My Heart replace My Love and A World To Believe In on Taking Chances, then the album would fulfill its concept much more...

thats so it - i totally agree - why the pointless name change - i refuse to call it there comes a time (the worst line and bit of the song) haha. let me be your soldier is so much better. and yes....the reason i go on is appalling

I do agree about the lyrics, what is the quality of the lyrics of the songs that were not considered by her team... are these 19 songs of the Taking Chances sessions really the best of the 1000 songs a year she gets

It is something that makes you wonder, why on earth they changed the name of the song. What does it achieve? As you say Fred, it's so blindingly obvious the song is meant to be called "Let Me Be Your Soldier."

I think they have changed the title for;

1 let me be your soldier was not good received, maybe by changing the title they think they can remove that negative feeling toward the song

2 they didn't want céline to be associated with war (in a song title)

but yeah each time I hear it, LMBYS is just the best title for it!

Hi there guys!!! I dont know if you've talk about this before... but Celine's song is very similar to Mariah's song "We belong together", specially at the beginning. Listen to mariah's: ... at the begining the piano its just the same!!

What do you think??? Am i crazy??
