yes i have the cd of MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS and the album is AWFUL!!!
her oversinging really ruined and killed the songs. her version of TATST is very terrible. not a xtina hater (i am a fan of stripped album), but this is her worst album and i can't stand the whole record. what a waste of money.

I really love Christina's Xmas album, but... "These are the special times" is the song I always skip. I don't like her version, but to be honest: I don't like Celine's version much either. There are by FAR much better songs. I have about 80 Christmas CD's and luckily Celine and Xtina are the only two who sing the song...

Cristina Aguilera did sung "This are special times"? whew! I wonder how she did scream while singing the song of our Dear Celine. I wish someday that Celine would have a version of "My Christmas list". That's song is very fantastic indeed specially when Celine will sings it. Imagine the version. WOW!

Yeah... that album was a bit of Christmas crisis...

Actually, I love Christina's Christmas album... I cannot believe that it was released in October 2000, almost 8 years ago! I still remember going to buy the album! LOL!
Anyways... I really enjoy Christina's Christmas renditions. In fact, though people criticize Christina's alleged oversinging in that album, I really do not consider it as such. Her ad-libs and riffs are the prime reasons why I love that CD. If her singing can really be considered oversinging, then I guess I am a fan of it.
As far as I am concerned, if you have the vocals, you might as well use them!

Xtina doesn't scream this song actually. It's a lot more subtle than most of her songs

I actually heard Christina's version years before I ever heard Celine's- and I loved it right away!
Then later, I heard Celine's, which is great too, but after hearing Christina do all the big notes, I kind of wished Celine had done it that way too.
But it's ok, I still like Celine better

I totally agree!
On the other hand, I also enjoy the Christmas album "Hey Santa" by Carnie & Wendy Wilson (from Wilson Phillips fame), who sing really sweet with lots of harmonies.
It's my favorite Xmas album along with the ones of Mariah Carey and Linda Eder.

It's similar to Celine Dion's Greatest Hits Right?
It's her first GH Album because of her 10 years of success. It will be released on November 11th on Target Only. It features 12 tracks:
8 Hits
2 Re-recording songs which are: Genie In The Bottle (10th Anniversery Version) & Beautiful (New Version)
2 New Songs which are: Keeps Getting Better & Dynamite
This is not enough tracks for a greatest hits album, so I made my own tracklist and different editions.

Although I have all her cd's and even some cdsingles and dvd's, I am really looking forward to this cd! I miss "Car wash" and I hope this album includes the single versions of "The voice within" and "Come on over".
But I've never heard of "Tell him" which only appears on the US version. Where is this song from?

It should be "Tell Me," which is a P. Diddy song that features Christina from 2006 on his album "Press Play." It was also released as a single.
Btw I've heard "Keeps Getting Better" too and I don't really like it either... I mean it's catchy, but I'm not impressed with the lyrics at all, and it doesn't show off Christina's voice. I've heard (and I agree it's probably true), that the real motivation behind the release of this album is that Christina wants to finish up her contract with RCA. After this she'll only be signed with them for one more album.

the single is good, to much Katy Perry. The European cd track list always sucks, the best songs never are there, like Till Your Head Back

I am still deciding about Christina's new song Keeps getting better. It is too much like other artists that are out there today. I am a bit dissappointed that Christina won't be releasing an all new album as its been ages since back to basics and I thought its quite soon for a greatest hits collection but anyway i will probably still buy it as its Christina and she is one of my favourite singers

I love Celine!!!!!!!!!!
