Yeah, TLYM is pretty old in the scheme of things... So many think it's from the LTAL album, but the first I ever heard it was on the LAP album as a bonus track, so that makes it, what, at least 3/4 years plus old at the time LTAL came out?

It was recorded for popular Japanese TV drama series, called Koibito Yo (meaning My Dear Lover), and included on The Colour of My Love album re-release in Japan. Later it appeared on the Asian edition of Falling into You, Live à Paris ("To Love You More" was one of the radio singles promoting this album in Canada), and the U.S. edition of Let's Talk About Love, being released as the third (but promotional only) single from this album.
In 1996, Sony Music Entertainment released a promotional video showing live performance from the Falling into You Tour, with Taro Hakase on violin. The song was re-released on April 5, 1999 in Japan, this time as a maxi-single with club remixes created by Tony Moran.

The odd thing is I am absolutly f****** sure I thought this was a single back in 1999. Coz this was the "new" song played on radio all the time during that spring-summer-fall time. This was the follow up single from Immortality and I'm Your Angel.
I find this extremely wierd still today for I know this was the fact. Was this just a local thing for Sweden? I was so chocked when I a year after bought the LIM VHS and found out it was part of her tour two years before it became a hit in Sweden.
It must surely have been some sort of special radio single (same as we had with Coulda Woulda Shoulda in 2003-2004 - became a hit) but the interesting thing is that they put it out here three years after it appeared on FIY in other parts of the world.
It surely is an interesting track.

TLYM has been lipped since it was first included on the FIY tour back in 1996. The same playback is used today.

Yeah, it was a regional release, rather than a world wide release. I think the official release of the song as a single was back in 1995, and released in the US, Canada and Japan during the international pre-release of Falling Into You, and was later included on FIY/1996 in the Asian market, then on LTAL/1997 in the US market, while it had already been on the LAP album, which was considered an international release, but was slow to reach it's non-Francophone countries [I had to buy it as an import]. The wikipedia article has it marked as a release from TCOML; what country's pressing of TCOML included TLYM? Now I am getting myself confused... LOL.
It is kinda weird, thinking about it. The single was released in some countries before it was ever on an official album in the country, and released years later in other countries after it made it's appearance on multiple albums prior to being released as a single in that country. So interesting. LOL.
I love the song, and I love the performance, but it's kinda up there with TPOL as far as "you know what" is concerned, and it would be great to hear her sing it differently sometime soon.

Now that you and Thomas have given us the video cover I can edit it into a DVD cover for my disc of this amazing show.
Even on my 40" it looks and sounds really good.
So many happy memories were brought back on seeing this concert (not that I was in Brunei myself!)
I love how it's "A sensible music production..." No nonsense!

You're welcome. Glad you like the concert.

I love this particular show for the same reason - sometimes its nicer just to hear Celine and no audience etc. And it seems more raw too, her vocal especially. I love Memphis, but i've always loved this one a little more.

Well i've never heard of such a concert - but that obviously doesn't mean its not true!!

I would have thought though that if it was true it would have been mentioned in her books - officially - such as MSMD - like the Brunei show was.
I always thought that the first time Celine met Her Maj was at the Royal Variety??

Ok, i've just read it - its referring to Royal Variety. It says in the summary a "private" show, but above it it actually says performing at RV show for the Queen's 50th wedding ann. So hope that clears it up for you. No private show - although it says that she did a private show for Donald Trump (if thats true) so there's a different private show to look out for!!
