im not a avid fan of the corrs but i like them...

i like them because of their songs...and they're look awesome!!!!


i miss them i didnt hear anything to them right now.......is there something new about them?

Definately! I created several Corrs threads in the past...but they're on a hiatus at the moment, so they died.. lol
Actually it's funny because a few days ago, Andrea announced that she will marry her boyfriend Brett Desmond! He popped the question in Barbados and they'll marry in the Summer. And Sharon will be releasing an album by herself this Spring..

Sharon also said a few months ago that The Corrs will definately be back within 2 years, so definately expect something from them in 2010 (hopefully it will be by the end of '09, depending on Sharon's own succes of course)..

they're not included in my all-time faves list, but i listen to their old music once in awhile. the only album of theirs that i own is Talk on Corners. i love it! i'm wondering where are they now. they've been out of the business for quite a long time now. would love to hear from them again soon!

i think alot of celine fans like the corrs esspecially in the uk seen as they supported her on the falling into you tour - that was my first introduction to them and i instantly went out and bought the run away single and the forgiven not forgotten album! haha then about two years later they were massive! im not a crazy teenager anymore however so ive mellowed a bit now and have more of a liking of them now - but theyre last album was still very good.

at the In blue concert i went to of the corrs people were still wearing celine t-shirts! hahaa and they always mentioned how they 1st performed at that venue supporting celine dion and there was always a cheer so clearly people who were at those celine concerts were now at theirs - haha must have been a good feeling for them.

Hehe that's just amazing! I really regret not seeing them together with Céline... funny I became a fan of them 2/3 years later! If I had only known..lol

Was also nice to see Andrea playing the tin whistle for MHWGO at the Pavarotti show..hope they will do something together again in the future (fat chance for that one, but one can hope lol)!

Andrea Corr announced in an interview on BBC Radio 2 this morning that The Corrs are reuniting! They're recording a brand new album at the moment and will perform for the very first time in over 10 years at this years BBC Radio 2 Live In Hyde Park concert on Sept 13!

I became a fan of The Corrs about 11 years ago with the release of 'Borrowed Heaven'. I remember owning that and 'The Best Of The Corrs'. However, after buying 'Home' and not being able to relate to almost any of the tracks, followed by their hiatus, I kind of lost interest.

However, recently I have re-discovered them, partly through being a fan of Shania Twain, as there were several elements of her Up! album that reminded me of 'Breathless' and 'Irresistible'. Inevitably, it was the same songwriter!!

I'm glad to see they are coming back, I would love to see them live one day.

Yeah, those 2 songs and "All The Love In The World" were co-written by Mutt Lange (Shania's ex-husband/co-songwriter/producer).
Did you know "Irresistible" & "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" share the same opening line (except for the night/day)?

Yes, I noticed the similarity between those 2 songs too.  And I always thought the opening of 'Breathless' and 'Up!' are very similar.

They're now officially BACK!! They gave their first performance (for 55.000 people) in over TEN years today @ BBC Radio 2's Live In Hyde Park!
No new tracks unfortunately, but they rocked the place! And looked stunning

I'm SO excited

It's so good that they're coming back. The setlist is great, I love all of these songs. But have to admit that Andrea was struggling a lot, especially at the beginning, and she has to get used to singing live again. She was literally breathless at times I'm sure she can improve though.

It's interesting to see that they're sticking to the hits from the 90s, just as Celine does, and that the audience sings along to all of these songs, just as in Celine's case. I don't know but somehow I miss the 90s. Not only did The Corrs or Celine release memorable songs but songs that people still remember, know how to sing them and enjoy them. With Celine "the moment" lasted a little bit longer (with ANDHC and OH) but later all of the singers have started to release things that are no longer remembered, sung or played on the radio. I don't know what actually changed. Since 2002 it's been the same Celine, the same The Corrs but something has changed about music in general. And I don't like it.

I hope that their new album will be amazing!

I saw The Corrs live yesterday!!!

I have to say I was not impressed with the mix on the TV audio, they sounded so much better in person. I was at the front of the crowd to the right of the stage and the sound was amazing.

They have not aged at all compared to when they last performed 10 years ago.

Couldn't agree more. Music has changed. 90s stay the same.

What's (are) your favorite song (s)? According to me Queen Of Hollywood is a masterpiece.  But also Summer Sunshine,  Long Night, Hideaway, Closer, Runaway, So Young.... I need to go to listen to them right now...

True... the music climate started to change drastically early '00's.

The Corrs originally had a longer set (like some other artists), but were cut down to 30 mins because they needed more time in between to change sets. Tad disappointed there was no new song...especially if the new album will indeed be out in Nov.

Thing with Andrea is that she never really warms up or take vocal lessons... if she does, I reckon she can do even better. But it's her own choice

Oh wow, amazing that you recognised me!!  My parents told me that my brother & I were shown all the time on TV.  We had a great spot in front of that flying camera.
