It would make perfect sense, to release it in time for Christmas. It would be no point to release it in the winter (after December), sales for everything drop during that time. I hope they will release, as it was officially announced before, a 2 DVD set. I'd rather have 2 DVD's (2 shows) than a DVD and a CD of the same concert.
The only thing I'm a little sad about is that I was almost sure the French concert will be from Paris and I would have loved that, since I was there. They just had to go and break the rule, cause they always had concerts from Paris release.... Well, I guess Montreal deserves a DVD too...
Too bad there's no re-editon of Taking Chances. It may not have sold so much, but it still was one of the best sold albums. I think it's up to 2.5 - 3 million copies by now, right? With no promotion, no video, no single, no nothing. To compare, I heard Amy Whinehouse' album sold 5 million and she got more promotion than any other artist in years. So it's not bad at all, Celine did amazing when you look at number from other artists too. The times when an artist could sell 25 million albums are loooooooong gone. So, Sony, we want the re-edtion with the full recording sessions, do you hear me???!!!

Me?   Sony doesnt know anything about a GH for now so maybe Sony didnt hear about it, of course not me.
Once again we should focus on what they confirmed for now: a live cd+ live dvd from this tour..I dont think we had some confirmations about a Live CD, of course we all knew about the dvd

It's obvious that they want to have this release by Christmas.  It could very well be a European show they're releasing (Not really buying Barnev's story).  But I fear that this will be an anglophone release and no francophone release. (Still supporting a Franco-only career!)

They're taking a page from Madonna's  book releasing the CD with the DVD---so this doesn't leave room for a 2-CD and 2DVD set----as you're all wanting.


I COULD see her releasing the CD this fall and not releasing the DVD till mid 2009.


Let's take a moment to remember that they planned releasing the AND DVD in 2004---and we got it in '07!

And remember we can't compare the release of this one to the AND release - because we all know we would have had the vegas dvd at the end of 2004 if everyone wasn't bitching about her blonde hair!! Celine said it herself - how everyone hated her hair so they scrapped the footage and had to prepare for another filming - and so they decided to wait until they'd got all the planned changes (costumes + songs) included, before they filmed it all again.  
Let's just hope that whatever they release, and whenever it'll be, it'll be as good if not better than the AND dvd set.

I just hope for more behind the scenes stuff and the recording sessions of the album....

Thanks for the information.  I can't wait but I don't see why they are going to release it when the tour will still be going on.  They should do it in the way of the New Day Live in Las Vegas cd/dvd format and then do a two disc Taking Chances tour with the making of TC on there.  I think that would be fun but they need to include every song that is on the tour on the cd.   So I guess that means a gh album will be released next year then? or a re-editon of TC hopefully with 1 or 2 new songs because if they put Map to My Heart and The Reason on there is new songs that would be just plain dumb.

A live cd will be fab as long as its a full show and not a selection of songs like the AND cd. I will just wait patiently.

It's going to be a LAME live CD----we know that it's going to be half the show and songs that we have on many other live albums.  But we.'ll all eat it up anway.  Complain----you bet we will, but that won't stop many of us from buying each edition from all over the world---even if the bonus track is "My Heart Will Go On" (Live from ACDS)

Its sad to recognize, but true . They will surely put 60% songs that Céline has sang 1.000.000 times and only a few of the new songs that she has included in the tour, some of them being of course the covers on the Queen medley she's singing (who cares about those?) and the rest of new songs completely ignored to include, for the umpteenth time, IACBTMN, BYLM, MHWGO, TPOL, TLYM and LCMM

Well it supposed to by 2 DVD set: 1 english + 1 french concert, no one said anything about "the making of".

What i am wondering is that if 1 CD+ 1DVD will be all in english or all in french or what?
