Well, why not? I'm just being curteous and friendly. It's her fault that she never calls me back. My best friend, Karen actually calls me back. I think if she would return more calls, I wouldn't call her so much... And this is big too... If she quits... it's going to be blah...

I didn't tell her what freaked me out... I just told her that something I saw at work freaked me out... She doesn't know what it is.. but it did freak me out. And now I'm just worried she'll leave and never come back and I won't be able to see her without a good excuse... Unless she gets really into me (as a friend) and wants to go out all the time - which I'm all for.

I think in some ways, you're right, Vic. But the thing I find weird is that in person, we're so talkable together and stuff... and when I'm doing something by the bar or just standing there and she's sitting at a booth rolling cutlery or counting her money or something, she would always call me over to sit with her. She's just really not very active online... and I don't know what's up with her phone... But all I know is that in person, we connect with a snap!

And Kimba... you're right... But if I just want to know if she has really left the job... And if so I'll be like "Awwwwwwwwe. Now, work is going to suck." And she'll laugh But either way, I'll still have to contact her within the next 2-3 weeks so we can meet up and plan the concert evening. And then we'll meet again to go to the concert.

You know I just feel like confronting her. Not about how I feel, but just why is she being such a poohead? I feel like leaving her a message, because frankly, I don't think she'll ever pick up her phone...

"Hey Fara... What's the deal here? Why don't you ever return my calls, or respond to my e-mails or messages? Have I done something that makes you want to avoid me? What is it? I want to know. Please tell me, because I'm so tired of trying to figure it out."

I don't mean to offend you but get a grip!  You don't know what she's got going on in her life.  She could have a family emergency.  She could have misplaced her phone.  You just don't know.  If you start getting frantic and kind of aggressive like that the chances are she'll tell you where to go.  And then you've lost a friend.  You've done all you can do.  The ball is in her court now.  Wait until she gets back to you otherwise you'll scare her off.  Seriously.

I guess I'm just worried... I don't know... So what happens if we're a about a week away from the concert and I haven't seen or heard from her? What am I going to do then? Am I allowed to do anything? If not, then there'll be two freakoids in my house. Me and my mom.

Wait until a week away from the concert and then contact her about the concert.  If you don't hear from her promptly then take somebody else.  I'm sure you're so, so worried but you have to think about how you'll be coming across as to her.  She could have a very good explanation for not contacting you.

OMGSH!! She called!
I was at the grocery store looking for toothpaste whe she called. I had misplaced my dad at the store, so I assumed he was going to call me and ask me where I was, so I picked it up, looked at the call display and my heart got stuck in my throat LOL. I took too long to answer the freaking phone, so I missed the call, but then I called her back. She picked up and this is how the conversation went...

F: "Heeeeyyy."
E: "Hey!"
F: "How are you? How are you doing?"
E: "Umm... Freaked! Can you tell? Haha."
F: "Haha. Yeah. What's up?"
E: "Okay, well, let's see... Did you... Did you quit the Swiss?"
F: "The what?"
E: "Did you quit Swiss Chalet?"
F: "No. I didn't. I didn't quit Swiss Chalet yet."
E: "YET?! What do you mean yet?!"
F: "Don't worry. I'm not quitting haha."
E: "Oh good. You better not haha."
F: "Are you at work right now?
E: "No, I'm not at work."
F: "When do you work again?"
E: "Tomorrow. Why?"
F: "Could you do me a favor? Could you write me a note and leave it in the office for Ammy letting her know I need to request some days off?"
E: "Yeah sure. What days do you need off?"
F: "Uhh. Hang on, let me check the schedule and I'll get back to you... Yeah. I need August 1, 2, and 3 off."
E: "Okay. *inputs dates into iPod* Got it. So August 1, 2, and 3."
F: "Yep. Thank you!"
E: "No problem! And don't forget to request the 28th off too! And by the way... The tickets came in the mail! They came and I was like OMG!! *spaz*"
F: "Haha. I'll remember and I know you got the tickets. "
E: "Oh good! Did you get my e-mail about that?"
F: "Yep. I got it."
E: "Okay, well, I don't know that... that's why you need to respond! And also, we need to plan the evening soon, because my mum's starting to freak out now."
F: "Haha. Yeah, we will soon! I'll get back to you on that."
E: "Okay cool."
F: "Alright, well thanks for helping me."
E: "No problem! I'll see you soon, then?"
F: "Yep. Thanks. I'll talk to you later!"
E: "Alrighties. Bye!"


It was soooo nice to get to hear her voice again.
The conversation we had was simple... My personality tried to keep it lighthearted. I think it was alright. I just wish I could talk to her more - I like talking to her. It's nice - and fun.

I'm not sure how old she is EXACTLY, but by our coworkers, she's around 23ish.

And you're 17?  That could be part of the problem at the moment.  6 years can be a big difference at that age in terms of hanging out.

Why does age apply to anything? I have a best friend who's 25. We talk pretty much every night. And before I left for Quebec, she was like

Not everyone is the same.  I wouldn't want to hang out with a 17-year-old all the time.  But maybe you're really mature... I don't know.

Yeah, age isn't much anymore...my best friend is 10 years older than me...and everyone I've dated has been at least 6 or 7 years older than I am...I don't have many friends who are younger than me or that I've dated (even though I love all of you on here who are younger)
