I'm sure they want to release it so people buy it for Christmas (and to increase Sony's 4th Quarter financial results)!!  

And as always, Celine's CD will be released at the same time as other big artists and will miss the #1 spot!! Déja vu... Why can't they pick a slow week to release it? Because as you know, some people count the number of #1 albums in an artist's career (Mariah, anyone?)...

I think that the album will be released a right moment 'cause she's touring in North America and this could boost the sales. Moreover, the tour was successfull in Europe, Asia, South Africa and Australia. And you know that people are more likely to buy greatest hits (especially from October to December) because they're more confident in songs they know well.

If "My Love" is such a great song why not use it to promote say, oh I don't know, Celine's CURRENT album "Taking Chances"?

Sony's strategy continues to baffle me.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying no to a new album i'm just getting sick of the same old tracks being recycled. I wonder if in 2019 we'll have "Sorry For Love (2019 Version) included on Celine's album that year.

If this is gonna être the final tracklist. I won't wait until Christmas to buy it! Although I really love the oldies TPOL, BYLM, IACBTMN, ABM, TLYM, IYA and MHWGO, it's a pleasure not to see these songs on the album. Oh and listening to 'Drop by Drop' has been one of my dreams as a Céline fan for years!

If this really is the final tracklisting(I always take Wikipedia with a grain of sand, so i'm still gonna wait until the official conformation here), then that's pretty dissapointing. I'd be excited for Let Me Be Your Soldier and the re-recording of My Love, but if the "2008 version" of I'm Alive is just the tour version, that's really dissapointing because I wouldn't even call the tour version a "remix", just a faster tempo. And we've already heard If I Can Dream, so i'm hoping that part is false. I wanna hear new tracks we've never heard before, like Drop by Drop or Run Like A River. This tracklisting is basically All The Way with a couple different songs sprinkled in. I was expecting that part, but the inedits are dissapointing *if* this is the actual tracklisting.

I would also love Celine to record "What's Up" by 4 Non Blondes. I think it would be perfect for her! Linda Perry has the lead vocals on the original one, but Celine would do a perfect job on this song.

I would like to see something like All the way.., as the old songs the hits from 2002 till now (I'm Alive, A New Day Has Come, I drove all night, Taking Chances, etc.) and for the rest new songs, for example songs which never released.. Let me be your soldier, drop by drop, My love tour version...

So the tracklist on Wikipedia is PRETTY close to the real deal is it Darren?????  

I think it's a good song selection, however  I 'd have "Have you ever been in Love" in place of the "The power of the dream" as it was a bigger hit in the US adult contemporary chart,  "Map to my heart" in place of "let me be your soilder"   AND  "The Prayer" only have it as duet with Josh groban!!!!!

Darren you have made my night! It's amazing that a Greatest Hits CD may become one of my favorites. I really hope Fade Away and Dance With My Father are ones that are included, at least one of them. I think it's cool when songs that were not hits (concerning radio) are put on Greatest Hits albums. I think its a nod to the fans. Could Sony have actually made us happy with this release?

Martina McBride put the song "Strangers" on her Greatest Hits CD, and it wasn't a hit, she called it "her greatest miss." On Faith Hill's Greatest Hits CD, she put a live version of fan favorite "Stronger," it wasn't a single but one of her most loved songs from her fans. It would be nice to see a Celine CD do the same.

Darren, when will we have the official tracklist? You said sometime in September correct?

I hope Celine does some promo for this. I would like a Larry King appearance, it's been awhile and the Christmas one was only two segments.

This Wikipedia track list I was referring to in my post had songs like "Fade Away," "Dance With My Father," a studio recording of "I've Got The Music I Me," "Eyes On Me" featuring Will I Am. I was not referring to the one posted here, I am not to excited about that one. I want some rarities. I think I might have to order the European version as well, it sounds like it might be better.

i'm confused though...out of curiosity
why is I SURRENDER on it?...it never charted or anything or was never released as a single
while it's my favorite song...it was never a hit (in music standards) besides being a loveable song
