Sounds awesome! This way she'll have the best of both worlds, remaining in showbiz doing what she does like no other and still have a somewhat normal family life, a HOME for her family/child(ren). Not a too hectic schedule, hopefully shouldn't be too stressful anyway, still having time for herself and those around her.. Couldn't be more happy for her!

[start of rant]

For those who are complaining that "everyone can't go to Vegas/She should do a worldtour so that I can see her/what about her fans?!/". Excuse me (no, scratch that, I am not apologizing for what I'm about to say) but comments like that make be sick. The woman has been on the road for a YEAR. Her young son has been flown all over the world seeing his mother surrounded by screaming people and photographers for twelve MONTHS. Can you imagine what that's like? The kid deserves a normal life with his parents to himself, and to sleep in the same bed everynight, go to school and have friends over.. And there are people who are selfish enough to want them back on the road AGAIN? Serisoulsy?

And no, the majority of the people on this planet can't afford a Vegas trip, I will not be able to go again, but so what? That's MY problem, who the h*** am I to want her to come to ME?

And "why Vegas, AGAIN?! Why not Paris or somewhere in this or this continent".. Well, first of all it's been the hometown to RC, they most likely LIKE it there, and again: who are we to complain? If it doesn't suit us, we don't HAVE to go.. they're not making us..

This puzzles me..what no new baby plans? is it going to be the SAME show as 2003-2007?? well I don't 70 shows ayear is nothing if you come to think about it...good chance to travel ans see her though...

Another thing.. Months ago I read a discussion about how "unfair" it was to the rest of the world that the US got to have her.. well, have you SEEN the size of that country compared to European countries? (where most of the complaining little monkeys live). Just because you're in the staes does NOT mean you can travel to Vegas whenever you like.. let's say someone living in NYC want to go to, that's just as far as it would be for me to go from Stockholm to Rome (and that's in the same time zone).. So please...

I ddidn't read all the previous posts here but René says very precisely in today's Journal de Montréal that yes it could be Autumn 2010 for Vegas BUT....IF Céline gets pregnant it will have to wait than.  Céline is going to try and do everything she has to do about getting pregnant at the end of March.  So we'll know soon.  René says Céline has 1 out of 4 chances for it to work, just like for RC.  So I really hope Céilne gets pregnant and than it seems clear that if she does Vegas won't happen in 2010.

I too am marking a date on my calendar to plan a trip to Vegas!!  one of my favorite places to visit, but now with a huge incentive to visit.  Would be fun to have her first show audience filled with forum fans...

I am there!!!   I LOVE vegas - and Caesars Palace.

Think i'm going to start saving now - just in case!!!

If IVF starts end of March that means she'll know if it works about end of April/early May. Hope it works for her.

Can you imagine the theatre full of just fans!!! Don't think she'd be able to start the second song for at least half an hour!!!!

Oh, and to the person who asked if IVF doesn't work why can't the show start earlier than autumn 2010. - well, CP have already got schedules in place with the other artists there. Celine and co need time to plan/design the show etc. And if IVF doesn't work she'll want a long break before she starts working again.  

What about a duets section???
Her duets with Elvis, Barbra, Frank (maybe again), JJG!!, Pavarotti, Bee Gees etc. On the screen, vitually like the Elvis one, or video like the Frank one.   What do you think???

That also shows Rene didn't push her hard to do the shows as some people assumed. Celine will take at least a year and a half off anyway.

& I guess I'm okay with Vegas again, it's not going to be 200 shows a year so that's nice for Celine, & hopefully they will bring some new things to the table and make it even better!

Plus i completely agree with the comments on here, i would love to see Celine more often but i have been lucky enough to see her four times and meet her and I know i will see her again even if i have to save every single penny!!!!!

it's not fair to be disrespectful to her and Rene for this decision, she is our idol after all!!!
I'm really happy about it as i know she is coming back to singing    

i wish both Celine and Rene every success for having a baby though, she's such a wonderful person i hope they are blessed again

i didnt get to see her in vegas last time round so am definitely going to see her this time around - i really hope that she has another baby - its was she really wants and also gives me more time to save!!

She'll be 41 (years young, dont get me wrong, my cousin got her fifth child (but first one that made it past 14 days) at 40) and that little thing inside her is screaming tick tock tick tock, maybe she doesn't dare wait longer than necessary?

I mean Celine does not need the money that's one thing for sure, maybe she needs the showbiz life but in small dosis, to keep in touch with her audience, make an album every 2-3 years and so on, and 70 shows a years must sound perfect for her, I do have my doubts, if she REALLY is going to try to get pregnant I mean if Rene made such a bold comment by sying "We are back in Vegas in 2010 fasten your seat belts!" I dunno...

She needs a rest after her TC tour is over...she deserves it but again, Celine is not getting any younger (don't get me wrong by that comment) and not to mention Rene...I always thought RC was going to be an only child..mmmm we'll have to wait!

Well I was looking in Ticketfast for some tickets in Canada and noticed there is a Denver Concert in Nov of 2009 and then one in Minneapolis in Dec of 2009 is this a typo? They showed a few seats? Anyone seen this or heard?

Guys, in the end Celine doesn't owe us anything. She could retire tomorrow and we'd never see her again, would you really prefer that? If Vegas is what she wants to do, that's not so bad.
Now about the embryos- there only one left from when they made RC, but I'm pretty sure they've made more since then. It was in a French article that was released around the time of Celine's 40th Birthday, she or Rene said that in February 2007, they made more embryos. Unless I dreamed all this, but I'm pretty sure I remember. Plus, Rene actually did say a while back that if it doesn't work the first time, they may try a second time.
